Only God Chooses, Anoints and Appoints
Only God chooses and anoints the gifts,
and appoints the chosen!
Just because a lot of God’s chosen people don’t choose to tell their life history of trials and tribulations on how they were tried and tested by God, doesn’t mean that God is not using them. Some people like being in the affairs of others and are wondering how did a person get to their ministry in the Lord.
Besides, it’s not good to give your life history to everyone. We have enough of those who enjoys playing God’s detectives to dig up past history on others. Likewise, just because you see the glory, and you don’t know the story, well and good, it’s not anyone’s business. This is for God to know where He brought the person from and how He tried and tested their life in the hidden and secret places!
Another truth to be told, everyone doesn’t have to wear several titles of the gifts on the front of their names, requiring two lines just to write and sign a name. First and foremost, the gifts are what you are on the inside — your person and personality. Its where you function and operate in the body of Christ.
The gift will make room for each of God’s chosen. If the persons actions and word line up with God’s word, then what other standard are we looking for. We can’t use our own measuring rod as a measurement. It’s not accurate enough because our standards will judge what we see on the outside and only god can see and judge the heart and intentions on the inside! Our own righteousness is as filthy rags, so how are we to decide who is gifted and who is chosen!
That being said, only God anoints the gift and appoints the chosen! We all have different gifts which God uses the way He wants too. There is no cookie cutter, standard method on how God uses his people. Maybe this is done in a school , but not in God’s Kingdom. God cannot be put inside of a box! He doesn’t have everyone to operate in the same manner. God uses each one in their own unique way; and if we really know God and have Him down to the science like we think we do, we will know that everyone He calls is different than the other. The prophets of old were used and operated in different manners in the way God wanted them to be used. The one thing they had in common was that they were bringing a message and speaking for the Lord.
Finally, the gifts of God do not come with ungodly attitudes and actions. God’s gifts comes with humility and sanctification; not proud looks and dignification. Some of us in the body of Christ need to turn the nose down, lower the head, shrink the ego; and know that we all have only one master.
Some of the leaders need to come down to make and give them a makeover. We should allow God to decide and choose who is gifted, and how they are gifted, because today, some of our attitudes and mindsets are becoming too high and mighty, and too self-righteous to be servants of the Lord.
1 Corinthians 12:1-11
Concerning Spiritual Gifts
“1 Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed.
2 You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols.
3 Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.
5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.
6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.
7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
8 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.
11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.”

Amplified Bible (AMP)
29 For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.]
