Prayer: Take Us Beyond
Merciful Father, the world at this time shows us a delusional aspect of itself that instills fear, agitation, and despair.
Wherever we look, there is destruction in nations, in governments, but above all in families, where the focal point of Your immense love resides.
We say with our mouths that we are Your children, but too many times with our sinful actions we demonstrate the opposite.
Dismantle dualism from our hearts…
This dualism that we have always carried in our hearts must be dismantled, because just as Mary extolled in her song that her soul magnified The LORD and her spirit exalted in God, so must it happen in each of us.
Still too caught up in the things of this world, we only partially act in the realm of the Spirit, while You our LORD, should preside over us in all things if we are those who claim to be Yours.
LORD, we understand that our flesh is weak, but we must not give ourself over to the tendencies of the flesh; instead The Spirit must be given reign.
Work in each of us Father, shake us, dig around our roots, as the Faithful Gardener, bringing us forth, that we might bear good fruit for Thee.
LORD, we would like to reach the heights of Paul, who said, “It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.” (Galatians 2:20)
Then LORD, with this consecration in our hearts, whatever the cost, we will not stop, nor will we allow ourselves to be stopped by anything or anyone.
Take us Beyond!
Many things have slowed our steps toward You over the years, but our faith, though weak, has endured, and today we cry out, “Take us beyond!”
Yes, take us into that realm of living faith where You reign and where You personally teach Your children by the Word of Your mouth.
Our life cannot and must not be a constant cycle of ups and downs.
Today we determine in our hearts to continue our journey toward the goal that You Yourself have designated for each of us.
We rise on the wings of The Spirit to reach You.
LORD Jesus, You are the Lion of Judah who roars, but also The Lamb who reigns and will reign forever.
Amen
