Prophecy Does Not Only Reveal and Foretell
Prophecy does not only reveal and foretell, it also creates.
Be careful who and what you are coming into agreement with!
When the true word of The LORD is spoken, it carries life and establishes His will on the earth.
But beware: there is a thin line between the prophetic and divination. Both can sound spiritual, both can give information, but only one flows from The Spirit of God.
The Difference…
Prophecy : Comes from the Spirit of the Living God. It exhorts, edifies, and aligns with the Word of God. It births life, truth, and destiny (1 Corinthians 14:3).
Divination : Comes from familiar spirits. It manipulates, controls, and entangles souls in bondage. It may reveal facts, but it does not carry the Spirit of Truth. It births deception and death (Acts 16:16–18).
The Danger of Agreement:
When you come into agreement with a false prophecy or divination, you create a spiritual contract. Agreement is powerful “Shall two walk together, except they be agreed?” (Amos 3:3).
By agreeing with divination, you open the door to demonic influence over your life.
Scriptural Warnings:
God forbids divination, sorcery, and consulting familiar spirits. (Deuteronomy 18:10-12)
False prophets see “vain visions” and speak “lying divinations,” claiming God sent them. (Ezekiel 13:6)
Do not listen to false prophets who speak visions from their own minds, not from The LORD’s mouth. (Jeremiah 23:16 )
Prophetic Truth:
The true prophetic word is creative power from the mouth of God.
“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return void, but it shall accomplish what I please,” Isaiah 55:11.
Be careful who speaks into your life. Test the spirits (1 John 4:1).
Not every dream, vision, or “prophecy” comes from God. The enemy also speaks, but his words lead to death.
Watchmen, Discern!
This is the hour to guard your ear gates and spirit.
Do not run after prophecies — run after God!
The Bridegroom’s voice is truth, and it alone gives life.
Shalom
~ Syreeta Thomas

Many prophets uttered flattering prophetic words about politicians who are now proving to be tyrants. They are radio silent about the embellishments they added to praise the man. Where is prophetic accountability? Just because they switch to different topics their words are not wiped out
I am really struggling with this. If a high profile prophet, who has dedicated his life to seeking God’s Face and will, and has all the while been transparent about what he does and what he believes in, starts going off the rails, do we now label him as a false prophet? Does it erase all the good that he’s done in his lifetime of service to the Lord, and to the Church? Surely, not all false prophets are evil? Some are just obviously deceived. But, that deception can do so much harm to the Church, and is sin the root cause of ‘deception’?
Years ago I found myself in a church where a couple could tell you your name and things that had happened in the past that was true. I thought anything supernatural was God. Then I heard them say the Buddha mind and the Christ mind was the same thing. I knew that was not right! It drove me to the Bible and I found out familiar spirits peep and tell, but can’t really prophecie. Just another Witch of Endor like Saul consulted and died the next day! Thank you Syreeta, this so needs to be told! God bless you!
Amen.
A very profound word for us all. We should test the Spirit. I’ve experienced even in conversations, if it isn’t right, my spirit would get disturbed.
Blessings peace and love to you dear Syreeta.
A good needed Word to the body of Christ, Syreeta. God bless you.
