This morning I heard God talk about; Fresh oil! You can’t give and obtain what you don’t have?
The oil that God wants to give His people is Fresh! This oil is not stained, tainted or smelly! It is the oil that ran down Aaron’s beard! (Leviticus 8:12). This oil will sanctify and consecrate those who are both called and qualified by God!
I heard God this mornings saying that our oil can be come stained and tainted like David’s, when we sin! However; this was not the end for David, who stole another man’s wife and had shed the blood of others! Why? Because he knew how to get in contact with God! You see, even though David messed up and sinned, he knew how to get in contact with the Father!
David humbled himself and told the Lord to purge him with hyssop, and He shall be clean and to wash him, and He shall be whiter than snow. He said to make him to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which God hast broken may rejoice. Just as we must, when we fall from grace!
We must humbly ask God to forgive us and to Hide his face from our sins, and to blot out all our iniquities. We cannot afford to hide them and to allow our oil to become smelly and stale! NO! We must ask God to create in you a clean heart, and to renew a right spirit within you!
I hear God saying He will in no way cast you away from his presence; and neither will He take His Holy Spirit from you, but will restore unto you the joy of His salvation; and will uphold you with a free spirit. Then you will be able to teach transgressors His ways; and sinners shall be converted unto Him!
But how can you teach or preach to others when your oil is not FRESH? No! You will first have to come clean with the Lord and then, and only then, will God deliver you from blood-guiltiness! The murder of killing your sister and brother with your tongue! The hatred and unforgiveness that you have hidden in your heart! That pride that rings within you ,that you feel makes you better than others!
I hear God saying, then will you feel the joy of your salvation, and say: O God, thou God of my salvation: my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness, O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise. For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering else would I give it, but the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. (Psalm 51:7-17)
I hear the Lord saying FRESH OIL will not come until you humble yourself and REPENT! How can you give what you don’t have? Before God can anoint you and before TRUE revival will come, there must first come repentance with a SINCERE Heart (2 Chronicles 7:14).
