Seek And Be Where God Is Staying; Remain With Him

Picture the unfolding scene: Andrew and another disciple of John were with him when, looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, “Behold The Lamb of God!”
The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus immediately. (John 1:36-37).
Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, “What do you seek?”
Their response?
“Rabbi (Teacher), where are You staying?”
When they made this curious inquiry, God invited them in, to come over to His Place.
‘He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth hour).‘
The Greek Word for “staying”/ “remained” is menó (Strong’s Greek #3306): to remain, to abide, to stay, to continue, to dwell, to endure.
Andrew and his colleague understood and had Revelation of Psalm 91, and lived It live.
“He who dwells in The Secret Place of The Most High Shall abide under The Shadow of The Almighty.” Psalm 91:1.
How do you stay with God?
It’s simple. Do the things done in His Place, continually:
- Enter into His Gates with thanksgiving, and into His Courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His Name. (Psalm 100:4).
Continually let your soul bless The LORD; let all that is within you bless His Holy Name!
Let your soul bless The LORD, and forget not all His Benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with Lovingkindness and tender Mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with Good Things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Oh, let us continually bless The LORD Who executes Righteousness and Justice for all who are oppressed. (Psalm 103:1-6).
- Praise and worship God in Spirit and Truth. Take delight in praising and worshiping God in your heart, and from your heart with your lips. (John 4:24, Hebrews 13:15).
Jesus said: “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship The Father in Spirit and Truth; for The Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and Truth.” John 4:23-24.
“Therefore by Him let us continually offer The Sacrifice of Praise to God, that is, The Fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His Name.” Hebrews 13:15.
What does it mean to “worship in Spirit and Truth“?
It is worship based on Revelation, not emotion. It is based on Revelation of Who God is (His Matchless Majesty, His Unsearchable Greatness and Riches, His Great Love and Mercies to man, etc.), what He has done (in The Bible, your life and others’) and what He can do (oh, He can do ALL things! With God ALL things are possible! Hallelu-YAH! Glory to GOD!)
Revelation worship is Holy Spirit-generated and led. It flows from the inner-man, the heart and The Word.
It is worship not based on location and occasion, but in The Holy Spirit and The Word (in Spirit and Truth), yes, in Righteousness, Peace and Joy in The Holy Spirit.
Just as He loves you, love to praise and worship God out of unconditional Love for Him, not only when things are going well for you.
In Truth, God is greatly pleased and moves greatly when we pray, praise and worship Him in our trials and tribulations (Acts 16:25-26).
As written, “in everything give thanks“, “giving thanks always for all things” (1 Thessalonians 5:18; Ephesians 5:20). Thanksgiving is praise.
Delight in ministering to The Lord as Paul and others did in Antioch (Acts 13:1).
While It is not the motive and motivation, God speaks a lot when ministering to Him (Acts 13:1-2).
- Pray without ceasing, utterly depending on The Holy Spirit for Utterance (1 Thessalonians 5:17, Romans 8:26-27, Acts 2:4).
Make Holy Spirit-led declarations and decrees. Depend on Him to make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks for all men, for kings and all who are in authority (1 Timothy 2:1-4).
- Daily study, meditate on, and pray The Word of God.
Jesus Christ is The Word (John 1:1, 14; Revelation 19:13). Therefore, when you study The Word, you study Jesus. When you meditate on The Word, you meditate on Jesus. Any Revelation of The Word you get is The Revelation of Jesus Christ. When you pray and declare The Word, you pray and declare Jesus. When you preach The Word, you preach Jesus.
When you insatiably consume, eat, devour The Word, Jesus will satisfy, sanctify and cleanse you with The Washing of Water by The Word (Ephesians 5:26).
Knowing and obeying The Word of God is all we live for. It is immeasurable Treasure now in this time and in The Age To Come.
Oh, The Word of God is the ONLY Treasure man should seek and possess!
The treasures of this world will be left behind and destroyed. But The Treasures of The Word are possessed now and forever, because The Word of God abides forever.
Our Lord Jesus said: “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves Treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.“ Matthew 6:19-21.
The Provisions of The Word you obey now are The Treasures you lay up in Heaven forever.
Study and pray Psalm 119 to see what The Word of God is and can do for you.
- Desperately seek and depend on The Holy Spirit every moment of your breath. (See John14:17, 26; 16:26; 16:13-15; 1 Corinthians 2:9-16).
Be highly discerning by and sensitive to The Holy Spirit to hear Him, to catch His promptings, nudges, desires, revelations, thoughts, warnings, etc. and obey fully.
Often pray Scriptures like Philippians 1:9-11 and 1 Corinthians 1:4-7 to increase in Discernment, Utterance and Knowledge by The Holy Spirit.
Only by Holy Spirit discernment and obedience can we prevail and triumph in these evil days.
- Seek The Things Above, not things of the earth.
“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those Things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at The Right Hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” Colossians 3:1-2.
- Love Righteousness and hate lawlessness.
You can’t claim to love God and be doing the things He hates.
God hates sin. We must hate sin like God.
Righteousness will exalt you, but sin will destroy you, even forever in hell!
“Nevertheless The Solid Foundation of God stands, having this Seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names The Name of Christ depart from iniquity.”” 2 Timothy 2:19.
“You have loved Righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With The Oil of Gladness more than Your companions.” Hebrews 1:9.
- Keep and maintain Joy
God’s Place is all Joy. To stay there, you must have that Joy.
As written, “Do no sorrow, for The Joy of The Lord is your strength.“ Nehemiah 1:10.
Without Joy, you will be feel weak, hopeless and depressed, taken captive and oppressed by the devil.
The Kingdom of God is in Righteousness, Peace and Joy in The Holy Ghost. (Romans 14:17).
Joy is indispensable in the life of the believer.
If you are feeling down, disappointed and in despair, as led by The Holy Spirit, pray and declare Scriptures that can reverse the situation.
For example, you can decree and declare:
“In Jesus’ Name, I have Beauty for ashes, The Oil of Joy for mourning, The Garment of Praise for the spirit of heaviness,” (Isaiah 61:1).
Sing joyfully to The Lord!
Clap your hands! Shout to God and rejoice before Him!
Laugh with The LORD. Be cheerful before Him! He alone is True Best Friend.
“Rejoice in The Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” Philippians 4:4.
“Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph! For The Lord Most High is Awesome; He is A Great King over all the earth.” Psalm 47:1-2.
“You will show me The Path of Life; In Your Presence is Fullness of Joy; At Your Right Hand are Pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11.
Stay with The LORD, and never leave His Place.
Below is a previous related Word:
“Flow With THE LORD GOD In THE SPIRIT of The Day To Prosper!”
“The LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:22.
“Farewell” Acts 15:29.
~ Jacob Addison Awagah
Jacob, an apostle of JESUS CHRIST by The Will of GOD, according to The Promise of Life Which is in CHRIST JESUS, (2 Timothy 1:1).
Like John, I like to put my head to The Heart of JESUS so as to know and do His Will always. What’s in His Heart is what matters now and FOREVER. His Heart’s Desire is my only desire. My will is to do His Will.
As John was, I am the disciple whom JESUS loves. And like Paul, I am “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
NB. Surely, the disciple whom JESUS loves and “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS”, like ALL The Promises of GOD, are available to every believer to obtain, just as John and Paul did.
“And having been perfected, He [JESUS] became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.

Thank you Messiah.
