This is a very abbreviated version of some things The LORD has been showing me lately concerning our position in Him, and the time we have entered.

When God made man, He was creating His family. He gave man authority and dominion over the earth!

I’m sure He taught mankind how to care for the earth and the animals in it. He had daily communion with His creation, walking in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve.

They probably talked of all kinds of things, revelation likely flowed continuously, and relationship with the Creator was not a struggle because there was no separation.

There was a communion that came easily and naturally. That was all that Adam and Eve had ever known – communion with their Creator.

They walked in the same kind of purity and perfection as The Father, The Word, and The Holy Ghost.

They were made in His image. So they walked in the Garden with a God whose sole motivation was His Love towards them.

They walked in Perfect Love in sweet communion with the God of the universe. How lovely it must have been!

After the fall, separation and deception entered. Adam and Eve always had a choice in all they did – just as we do now.

They made the wrong choice, the choice that would change eternity. They made the choice fully aware that God had told them “You shall surely die,” (Genesis 2:17) and they believed the serpent, the devil, when he told them, “You shall not surely die.” (Genesis 3:4).

But God was not caught unaware! He already had a plan!

Death entered into the spiritual and natural atmospheres which became separated. Adam and Eve were clothed with animal skins, which some think came from the first animal sacrifices.

Up till that time, there was no death of any kind in the earth, not even a dry blade of grass. Their thinking changed, and mankind forgot their identity as sons and daughters of Almighty God, and as a result, forgot responsibility over the earth, the animals, government, towards one another and towards God.

However, our Faithful God never forgot His responsibility! The sun still rises and sets, the rain comes, there is still seed-time and harvest, and the earth is still His in its fullness. (Psalm 24:1)

Over the generations, sin and corruption became so rampant that God was forced to bring a great flood to wash the earth clean. But He kept a small remnant, and He made a promise He would never do that again!

As a result of separation and deception, The LORD had to make rules and regulations for mankind to follow in order to keep us from sowing death into our lives from lack of understanding and sin. (seed time and harvest).

Animal sacrifices took the place of man’s death to atone for sin. (“You shall surely die.”)

For the life is in the blood, (Genesis 9:4), and our gracious Father allowed the animal’s life blood to atone for the sin of man.

The animals died so man wouldn’t have to. His Love never changed. Over time, mankind, again having forgotten identity as children of the Living God, made the rules and regulations more important than the Love of God.

People struggled and suffered from great lack, and ruthless men oppressed the earth for power and wealth.

It is into this oppression and lack that God sent His only begotten Son to, once and for all, atone for all sin, and buy back all that was lost.

When the Word became Flesh and became One of us, He came as the Perfect Sacrifice to restore all; to restore sweet communion with Himself and The Father, sending Their Own Holy Spirit to inhabit us and help us.

He restored our dominion and authority over the earth, gave us the keys to overcome evil in the world, and has called us to take our position as sons and daughters of the King of Glory to take back the earth which was given away so long ago. That part is our responsibility and it always has been!

It is in sweet communion with The LORD that we access the weapons, the strategy, the ability to do what we are called to do as His sons and daughters.

Jesus is worthy in our unworthiness. God calls what is not as though it were; and in ways only He can, He calls and uses the unlikely, the broken, the misfit, the humble.

When The Father looks at us, He sees the atoning Blood of the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world. (John 1:29) He sees what He Himself has implanted in us: a destiny that can only exist in sweet communion with Him.

In His Presence are the weapons of our warfare. In our worship is our agreement with Who He Is, and who we are in Him. In our yielding, His Will is restored to the earth.

In our obedience, He works miracles. In our trust, His Love abides. He is so much more than we know, but this I do know:

He is all that He says He is and more. There is nothing He can’t do, there is no one He can’t use, and His Love fills eternity.

Our God is One Whose very Being is Love. Every act, whether blessing or judgement, is born of Love.

In this fallen world we live in, this kind of Love, Perfect Love, is foreign to us; therefore God has become foreign to us. His Love towards us has never changed.

He is still the same God Who walked in the Garden with Adam and Eve. His is an eternal, complete, Perfect Love!

“For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.” Romans 8:19-20

The time to take up our position in Him is now! Our calling is upon us; we are living in an appointed time in His timeline! What a great time to be alive!

“It is well, it is well with my soul!”
