“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15.
Good morning.
Today will be the conclusion of this Bible Study about Scales and Justices.
For your convenience, here again are Part 1 and Part 2 links.
The subject of scales and justices, what is that about?
Does it even fit in here?
The way I see it is there is a righteous way and an unrighteous way of weighing things out.
The LORD God Almighty can even tip the scales in our favor.
We must keep trying to balance out things in righteousness!
So many still today preach a very harsh gospel, with very little mercy.
They get on a clothesline religion preaching and it will drive the sinner away often times!
They preach you are going to hell if you do a lot of things. There is a tone to that kind of message that about makes me sick!
Some people will take scriptures all out of context from the old testament and bind you with them.
We must rightly divide the Word of Truth!
First we must get them to the most lovely feet of Jesus!
We were all hell bound unless the blood of Jesus was applied to our own hearts.
Let Jesus clean them up. We don’t need to skin them as we catch them!
Then the other side of the scale is these Churches which let about anything come in.
They let leaders work in the Churches who are living in sin and that is plain wrong!
I have even heard of gay pastors and a Bible for homosexuals. That is so hard for me to even comprehend!
It really grieves me but yet I love the sinner.
Christ loved all sinners and died for them!
Do we even get that yet?
We must preach against the sin but embrace the sinner.
Some Churches are too busy with their lights and smoke screens.
They have some very funny pastors and wild music that will really draw you!
Do you really want that kind of Social Gospel?
I personally can’t hang with that either. It should grieve our hearts!
Let us get things right in this final hour. Teach modesty surely but use some wisdom in the pulpits preaching.
Don’t forget we should be letting the older women teach the younger women Biblical truths.
Let some good solid men strong in the faith take under their wings these young new male converts who come to Christ.
In conclusion: Don’t make it about legalism on one hand or show on the other hand!
God bless you all.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” John 3:16-21.
“But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.” Titus 2:1-8.
