The Master of Your Storms
Are you currently facing a storm of some kind?
Is your heart afraid. This is for you, Child of God.
The storms on the Sea of Galilee were no ordinary storms. He is no ordinary God! (See the video I posted below.)
Jesus is the Master of Your Storms.
“Beloved,
Do not fear the winds that rise around you
or the waves that seem to overtake you.
For I AM not absent in your storm
I AM the Master over it.
I AM He who stood upon the waters
and spoke to the raging sea, “Peace, be still!”
And the wind obeyed Me.
The waves know My voice.
What terrifies man bows to Me.
In the middle of chaos
My Supernatural Peace still reigns.
Don’t look at the storm, My Child, look to Me.
This moment of chaos is just a moment for My Authority to be revealed. Darkness always flees in the Presence of Light.
For the storms of your life will not destroy you, My Child,
But they will reveal Who stands with you in the boat.
When the disciples trembled, I was not shaken.
When they feared the deep, I spoke to it as the One who owns it.
So it is with you now. That storm knows My Name.
Even when the sky darkens and the waters roar
My Hand of Protection is stretched over you.
The winds may blow but they cannot cross the boundary of My command. The enemy may stir the atmosphere, but he cannot override My decree.
I AM the One who walks upon what the enemy sent to destroy you.
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you.
When the rivers rise,
They shall not overwhelm you.
When the storm clouds gather
My light will pierce the darkness
Like a Brilliant Dawn
Breaking through the clouds.
Look again, Beloved, the storm is not greater than your Savior.
When you see waves of chaos, call upon My name.
When you feel shaking, I will steady your feet.
When you hear Thunder
I AM releasing My Voice over the deep.
For I AM not merely the One who calms storms
I AM the Master of the Storms.
I AM the Master of YOUR storms, My Child.
And the winds know Me.
And the waves obey Me.
I remain undisturbed by the howling tempest.
And you, My Child, are safe beneath My Hand.
You will not sink or drown.
Say to your anxious heart,
‘Be strong, do not fear.
My God comes to save me.’
What manner of Man, am I, Beloved?
Surely, you know.
I am your Dread Champion
commanding,
Peace, be still.”
THIS WAS NO ORDINARY STORM : The winds on the Sea of Galilee are sudden and violent. These tempests occur because the lake lies low – 600 feet lower than the ocean. It is the lowest freshwater lake on earth and is known for sudden, violent storms. The winds converge in the gorges at the head of the lake and act like gigantic “funnels” that draw down the cold winds from the mountains. These winds are not only violent, but they come done suddenly, and often when the sky is perfectly clear. They stir up the waves to heights that would fill boats and sink them.
This is why the disciples MARVELED and said,” What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”
PEACE,BE STILL : In Aramaic Bible translations, the command is directly translated as “Stop! Shut up!”.
The Greek phrase used, “pefimoso,” literally means to muzzle, silence, or cause to be speechless. It is a forceful, authoritative rebuke telling the storm to stop raging and, in effect, “shut its mouth” to cease threatening the boat.
Watch this video of the Sea of Galilee taken in 1992 to understand the violence of the storm the disciples faced.
“And the men marveled, saying, “What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?” Matthew 8:21.
“Then Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and the sea. “Silence!” He commanded. “Be still!” And the wind died down, and it was perfectly calm.” Mark 4:39.
“O LORD God of Hosts, who is like You? O mighty LORD, Your faithfulness surrounds You. You rule the raging sea; when its waves mount up, You still them.” Psalm 89:8-9.
