Jesus said, “I have been very eager to eat this Passover meal with you before my suffering begins. For I tell you now that I won’t eat this meal again until its meaning is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God.”
Then He took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it.
Then He said, “Take this and share it among yourselves. For I will not drink wine again until the Kingdom of God has come.”
After eating this last meal, Jesus went into a period of Spirit-led fasting.
It was as though He was saying … “I will not be eating or drinking in this realm again”.
It was as though He was freeing Himself from the realm of the world in order to step into another world and into a new realm of Glory.
When fasting today, we should be doing no differently.
True fasting is not only about an abstinence from food, we should be purposefully laying the natural aside to be unclothed from it, in order to enter into the realm of the Father’s Glory.
