Turning Point!
A psalm to praise and sing to God, aloud.
Turning Point
Oh, the enemy of my mind and soul,
You pushed me violently, that I might fall,
But the LORD helped me.
The LORD is my strength and song,
And He has become my salvation.
The voice of rejoicing and salvation
Is in the tents of the righteous;
The Right Hand of the LORD does valiantly.
The Right Hand of the LORD is exalted;
The Right Hand of the LORD does valiantly.
I shall not die, but live,
And declare the Works of the LORD.
The LORD has chastened me severely,
But He has not given me over to death.
Open to me the gates of righteousness;
I will go through them,
And I will praise the LORD.
Shout to God with the voice of triumph
And He will subdue the enemy!
Oh, when the enemy of my mind and soul
Was crouched at my door
When he tried to attack me with lies
When he tried to cause me to sin
I cried out to the LORD
Through my despair:
Oh LORD, break the bows and arrows of the enemy!
Burn the chariots in the fire!
Cease his attacks!
Preserve me, O LORD
Let all snares be dismantled
Let all evil plans be cast from me
Let my faith in You rise above
Higher than the clouds!
Deeper than the seas!
Vaster than the universe!
With You by my side, my faith shall not fail!
Shout to God with the voice of triumph
And He will subdue the enemy!
The days were dark
But now I have come to a turning point
The nights were even darker
But now I have come to a turning point
From here on out my faith is even stronger—
The Light in me burning even brighter
My roar even louder
My authority even bolder
Tremble, oh enemy of God, TREMBLE!
Your lies are nothing more than dust
Blowing in the wind….
Your might is nothing compared to the LORD’s
Though you attack me one way
You scatter in seven
You flee from the iron weapon;
A bronze bow pierces you through.
For what you kept hidden from me
I see and hear clearly now
For the LORD has said that
I have a heart of a Champion
And I am more than a conqueror
In CHRIST JESUS!
Shout to God with the voice of triumph
And He will subdue the enemy!
Tremble, oh enemy of God, TREMBLE!
The LORD is my strength and song,

I declare the Works of the LORD and stand tall
The Right Hand of the LORD does valiantly.
The Right Hand of the LORD is exalted;
The Right Hand of the LORD does valiantly.
For the LORD has said
That I have a heart of a Champion
Right here and right now
I have passed the turning point—
Darkness to Light, despair to Hope
The LORD is my strength and song,
And He has become my salvation.
Shout to God with the voice of triumph
And He will subdue the enemy!
Oh, the Champion in me is arising
Yes, arising strong!
Emerging from battle victorious in Christ Jesus!
Oh, The LORD has given me a heart of a Champion!

“He will flee from the iron weapon; a bronze bow will pierce him through.” Job 20:24 NKJV.
“Behold, I have created the blacksmith Who blows the coals in the fire, Who brings forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the spoiler to destroy. No weapon formed against you shall prosper,” Isaiah 54:16-17 NKJV.

The LORD actually gave the Psalms 118 scripture to my dear husband a couple of days ago!
This poetic/psalmist praise leads me to Psalm 149/ PRAISE!!!

I thank Him so much for writing this psalm as it was borne out of a recent trial I had. I truly came to a turning point. Immediately after reading your comment, I went to Psalm 149 and sang that to the LORD! Wonderful! Thank you!
