Warning! The Voices Around You

Jesus is saying that we are to be careful with the voices we hear around us.

For example, look at what the voices are saying to Jesus in Mark 3, when He wanted to heal:

“And He entered the synagogue again, and a man was there who had a withered hand. So they watched Him closely, whether He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse Him.” Mark 3:1-2

Jesus wanted to heal the man, but the people standing around Jesus and the sick man said, “No. That is not a good idea!”

Jesus healed the man a few verses later, because He listened to the Father instead of the people.

So here are three things we must know about the voices around us.

1. When people tell you no, tell God yes

Just as the Pharisees were telling Jesus “no” on healing on the sabbath, Jesus was telling the man “Yes” … “Yes, I will heal you.” And Jesus was telling The Father, “yes” as well.

Recently, I rolled my ankle and sprained it. The doctor said I would need crutches or a walking boot for two weeks.

However, due to the healing power of Jesus, I was walking without crutches or a boot in two days. I had zero ankle assistance — thank you Jesus!

But others were not as happy about my ankle as I was. Five people told me to wear my boot or use my crutches as I could easily re-injure my ankle.

In other words, they were telling me “no” — do not walk yet.

I did not listen to them and believed in my supernatural healing from The LORD.

And I am glad I did, as lack of Faith and doubt can have a serious effect on the miracle Jesus is doing — see Peter walking on the water, for example.

So in short, be careful who you listen to.

Always put the voice of God first — even when others are saying the opposite!

2. Remember only God rules over you

There are people, places, and certain beliefs that can cause you to receive less from Jesus.

Jesus said this to me, “I can do things that others can’t.”

Allow Him to rule over you because He has more power than people.

The LORD can open up doors for you, that others can’t!

3. There are no limitations with God

People can hold you back and try to limit you, but God never does that to you.

Jesus says: “People can go further with Me than then can with listening to the people around them.

Yes, there are many times I will use people to speak to you and help guide you but you have to know that I AM the ultimate authority.

Return to Me. Seek Me and allow Me to confirm My Word through others.

Do not dismiss others, but put their words a step below Mine.”

Jesus is your Lord. Say yes to Him — and you will experience more and do more for there are no limitations when His Voice is the loudest!
