What makes an apostle?

What makes an apostle?
Many people today teach and preach the gospel of Christ. So, what made the apostles unique? If it was NOT the preaching and the teaching?
First, they were inspired by the Holy Spirit. Jesus offered to His apostles, before He sent them on their first mission:
“You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you,” Matthew 10:18-20.
They made Jesus’ will known on all essential spiritual subjects, through infallible inspiration (2 Peter 1:2-4), therefore, the apostles are very distinct when compared to today’s fallible preachers and teachers, who gain their understanding not by inspiration, but through study of the apostles’ inspired writings – the Bible.
If you are called to this office, your revelations and inspirational wisdom should be from Jesus, the one whom you claim to have visited you, giving you your mandate to bear witness of him, and NOT yourself!
Come on somebody! Pride and arrogance has NO place among the Apostolic and Prophetic foundation!
So, why is it, so many calling themselves Apostles/ prophets are NOT being led by God in this season but are building there OWN earthly kingdom?
Apostles Pt. 2
The apostolic commission is a gift from God that authorizes the apostle NOT just to preach but (1 Corinthians 1:17), to be ambassadors for Christ (2 Colossians 5:20; Ephesians 6:20); to be witnesses to all nations (Luke 24:48), and to make disciples of all peoples (Matthew 28:19), as the spirit guides and directs!
Meaning, the Spirit of God may have you evangelizing, teaching, pastoring, and or walking in the office as a prophet! This is ALL under the direction of the Holy Spirit and NOT man!
God wants His people to stop trying to be somebody else in ministry (Juanita Bynaum, and o,r T.D. Jakes), and to allow the Holy Spirit to work in YOUR life because it is him that sends and commissions!
Where ever He sees a need God will place you in that assigned region, and or, under that particular mantle! As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, “Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away,” Acts 13:2-3.
Humility and Grace
As I was meditating upon The Lord, I heard The Lord say, “Humility and Grace!”
“I want you to be more and more like Jesus!”
“If My people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land,” 2 Chronicles 7:14.
Words to ponder on here are conditional: “If, pray, seek my face, humble themselves, turn from their wicked ways,” then God will (cause God to act) hear, forgive and heal! All conditions that we; as the people of God, must meet if we are to be blessed by The Lord!
My Lord, my Lord! Many folks are waiting on God to do something and he is waiting upon (grace) them; instead!
I heard the Holy Spirit saying that humility is something that is gained by the people of God learning to practice it in there everyday walk with The Lord!
God is not going to force you to do what you do not want to do! No, I am afraid not this will be your choice! The flesh is hindering many from taking control of there destiny in the kingdom; all because they are waiting on The Lord and he is waiting on them! (grace) this is what caused Israel to wonder in the wilderness these forty-years!
I hear God saying that it is pride that is keeping many out of the Kingdom of God! The idea that they are entitled to do whatever it is that they are doing; when in fact it is all by the grace of God, that has brought them thus far; and not by there own works, unless they should decided to boast!
For, I hear The Lord saying that these same folks are full of themselves: they are arrogant, egotistic, and have a strong sense of self-importance!
You see, you could show them that they were wrong and all they would see is there finger always pointing in the direction of what somebody else has done and they can never see the role that they played in the situation at hand! But, God is calling for His people to humble themselves and to seek His face in this season!
God is speaking in this season. What I hear God saying, is that you will never be successful until you can take your eyes off of your neighbor, and begin evaluating your own personal walk with God on today! (Matthew 7:5).
For, I hear God saying, “The commandments which I command thee this day, shall ye observe (this is your choice) to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which The Lord sware unto your fathers. And thou shalt remember all the way which The Lord thy God led thee these forty years (grace) in the wilderness (because of your disobedience), to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of The Lord doth man live,” Deuteronomy 8:2-3.
I hear God saying to humble yourselves therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, (1 Peter 5:6). For, he giveth more grace to the humble, and he resisteth the proud, (James 4:6).
in other words let nothing be done through strife or vain glory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves, (Philippians 2:3-11).
Humility helps one to see what is a head; but the proud in spirit shall be brought low and that without (no grace) remedy!
~ Apostle Geraldine Fisher
Apostle Geraldine Fisher has a World-Wide-Social Media Net-Work Ministry. Saved for over 30-years, as a Missionary, God moved her into the Office of a Prophet and continues to revealed to her the qualities of a True prophet: humility, humiliation, love others and intercede in prayer as she keeps her own life clean to accurately hear from God. God revealed True prophets draw believers to Christ; NOT wanting or seeking self praise, as the work is about God, not SELF. Since hearing the audible voice of God calling her into prophetic ministry, she has been on this journey, called to intercede and to pray on behalf of others in the ministry as God speaks to her, instructing, directing and dropping a prophetic word for her, to give to others. To prepare her for her prophetic call, God promised He would bringing her to sit and to learn before great men, all of which He did! |
