Will You Run When Trouble Comes?

“And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none,”   Ezekiel 22:30.

How many people would I need to help turn around the condition of the United States?

How many would I need to kneel on their hands and knees?

In a world where everyone does what is right in their own eyes, how can you find a people who are willing to stand in the gap for a nation?

For many claim that they would stand in the gap for Me, and yet when the demands of this life tear at their souls they succumb to the weakness of their flesh.

When the seas rise and the earth quakes, will you still stand?

When the cities crumble and men grab their hearts for fear, will you still stand?

Will you run and flee when trouble comes, or will you stand resolute?

The time is quickly approaching when the door will be shut forever.

For I have turned My Back on a nation that has turned its back on Me.

No longer will I tolerate the sins that have risen to My Throne.

You will fall on that day and your fall will be great.”

  1. But there ARE groups of people that have stood in the gap, fasted, cried, repented, and interceded for this nation. Worldforjesus.org is one example. See their intercessor’s vault for the specific prayers and intensive intercessions they have conducted under the Lord’s leading since 2000. That is just one group, but there are many, many more. Just because we don’t know of them does not mean there are none. Let’s add our prayers to theirs and be hopeful that God hears and answers.
