Signs That Work is Being Done
“Where no Oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the Ox.” Proverbs 14:4 KJV.
Oxen are used in agriculture to plow fields. Secondly when yoked together, they thresh grain by walking over harvested stalks on a threshing floor, separating the edible grain from the husks and straw.
Biblically, Oxen are symbols of strength, patient, labor, service, and sacrifice, representing both agricultural productivity and divine provision.
They are Known for their power, hard work and the ability to produce an abundant harvest.
But there’s something else you wouldn’t like about Oxen.
The fold in which Oxen are kept, is always messed up! They go about littering everywhere with cow dung.
I have met people who don’t like to see dung around, as some are allergic to the excrement.
Proverbs 14:4 tells us that “where there are no Oxen the feeding trough is clean; as a sign that there are no Oxen and so no labour take place there!”
You wouldn’t expect harvest on this farm.
I lived with an uncle who was a mechanic by trade, and after his daily labour you wouldn’t literally recognize him.
Often he would come home with aprons oozing oil. His face oil-black and sometimes his garments got torn in the process of dealing with machine parts.
He however made great income from his daily wages, and we honoured him for taking care of us from this trade.
We were able to see money through her messed aprons.
Money is found in the dirt of this world — not in the palaces.
Money in the bank came from the most unlikely places.
If you want to see Harvest by the Oxen, the crib would be messed up, because Oxen would be around doing labour.
Where there are no Oxen — the crib is clean and a clean crib only mean scarcity and lack.
Sometimes you need to dare the most unlikely experience to make money.
Wealth has language that it understand.
It doesn’t just come because you are Christian!
Your Crib has to be dirty as indication that work is happening!
You need to see what you don’t like. These are the sacrifices, patience and being deliberate.
Have you noticed that manufacturing plants could be the most unbearable environments?
The grinding machines are just too noisy — the smell of waste products is awfully nauseating — and drains from the waste, is even harmful.
Goods processing involves removing the unwanted parts of substances to separate the consumable from the non consumables, and finally at the end of processing, the product is clean, neatly packaged and brought to the supermarkets in the best form that is pleasing to the eye.
But the all process began from some dirt and subsequent eliminations.
We don’t eat from the field — we eat from the supermarkets — though we down play the importance of the field!
In making money, we should boldly endure the hardship that come with success.
But this verse can also be applied in relationships.
We meet people where they are in their dirt. Jesus visited the most unlikely places to fish out men from messed condition.
In one instance the Pharisees judged him for eating with the sinners. He met Zacheaus in his messed crib.
God bless you as you go into greater sacrifices to bring out the precious from the things trampled upon.
