Coming as a Child has never been more important!

I once addressed a large group of pastors and clergy and I had a word for them.

Being a good boy, I ran it past my pastor.  He looked shocked, but nevertheless grabbed a microphone and called for quiet — and then he handed me the mic!

I said to them, “I have a simple word from The LORD for all of us here today!  There’s a lot of theology in this room tonight and The LORD says this —– “Leave your theology at the door and come to Me as a child tonight.  Don’t complicate everything, rather keep it simple and child-like!’  That’s all He’s saying — “Come as a child; leave your learning at the door!””

There was a bit of a stunned silence for a few seconds before the chairman called for order, and the meeting started.

It struck me that this is advice we could all benefit from!

So, as I said to them,  “I have a simple word from The LORD for all of us here today!  There’s a lot of theology in this social media room tonight and The LORD says this — “Leave your theology at the door and come to Me as a child tonight.  Don’t complicate everything, rather keep it simple and child-like!”“

That’s all He’s saying — “Come as a child; leave your learning at the door!’”

Then He added this,  “Come to listen not to talk. 

Come to learn, not to teach or advise!

All your learning means nothing if you’re going to ignore the Master!

Remember, the disciples were mostly fishermen from Galilee.

They listened.

They learnt from Me.

They turned their world upside down!

I AM waiting and wanting to do the same with you!”

“Come as a child still is My only request to you.  I AM ready when you are!” says The LORD.
