Spiritual Understanding and Maturity
The LORD desires us to hear, understand, and then transmit His Words and Will with clarity so that He can be revealed among His Church in purity.
Many believers do not hear The LORD properly, nor do they accurately interpret what He is saying.
Today’s Prophetic Movement
The modern “Prophetic Movement” has also been affected by this issue, and because many leaders have not progressed into the full measure of Christ, they continue to teach and prophesy at an elementary level.
The LORD desires that we move on to maturity from the elementary principles of Christ, as described in Hebrews 6.
This immaturity in leadership has hindered the majority of believers from progressing into the stature of Christ’s full measure.
Leadership is supposed to lead the way. Moses led the way for the people of God. He desired to be in the presence of God and before His throne above all else. Moses longed to know The LORD and His ways.
When the elementary principles of Christ remain the focus of leadership, the people of God do not go on to maturity.
This has prevented the Bride from being made ready and hindered the coming forth of the Royal Priesthood.
“Love never ends. But if there are prophecies, they will be set aside; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be set aside. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part, but when what is perfect comes, the partial will be set aside. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. But when I became an adult, I set aside childish ways.” 1 Corinthians 13:8-11 NET.
The Gifts of The Holy Spirit
In the context of the above Scripture, Paul, by The Spirit, is discussing gifts of The Holy Spirit that will be set aside.
These gifts will be set aside when The LORD’s perfect Will is established in us, which is the full measure of His Son in us.
We, as immature children, currently have only that which is “in part…” (1 Corinthians 13:9)
The full measure of Christ — the perfect man — has not yet been fully established in us.
We will never attain to this full measure if our focus remains on that which is in part or on the elementary principles of Christ.
When we choose to remain immature spiritual children through our continued focus on outward spiritual things and on ourselves, we continue to think like children.
When we think like spiritual children, we also talk like children and act like children.
The major drawback of thinking like a child is that we cannot hear The LORD like an adult.
If we can only think as children, then we will only hear as children. The limitations of our thinking will hinder us from receiving The Voice of God.
Spiritual Children
Spiritual Children do not have the ability to receive or understand mature things, and because they do not understand mature things, they often confuse what The LORD is really trying to say.
Natural children listening to an adult conversation cannot fully comprehend what is being said and will often confuse the message.
Since this is also true in the spiritual realm, The LORD is limited in what He can say to Spiritual Children.
If He says something too deep or mature, His spiritual children will likely misunderstand or misinterpret it.
The majority of leaders have not been presenting a mature Revelation of Jesus Christ that contains transformative power from The Father’s Throne.
The Father desires for this to change! He wants His leadership transformed and rapidly progressing onward to the measure of the stature of Christ!
Once this phase is complete, The Father will use this mature leadership to bring the remnant of God’s People to full measure.
This is the building of Christ’s Church that was spoken of in the Scriptures.
Leaders must recognize their own immaturity and recognize their elementary teaching, preaching, and prophesying.
Leaders must repent of their desire to develop messages for the sake of “doing ministry” or “doing Church.”
We have to ask The Father to transform us inwardly so that we become the message that He wants to release.
We have to desire for Him to deposit the full revealing of His Son in us so that we can come to maturity.
We must move on from the old wineskin of that which is “in part” so that which is perfect — the full measure of Christ — can be established in us.
We don’t reject the “partial,” but we strive for the full measure. As the full measure comes, the partial is not needed any longer.
The Holy Spirit’s Goal
The Holy Spirit’s goal is to lead us to Christ and see Him formed in us, not to see us operate in His partial gifts.
We use and respect the partial gifts, but we focus on the full measure revealing of the Son within us.
Even when this is addressed, the childish will resist it. Children will desire to focus on the gifts of the Spirit and other elementary principles, and they will not hear.
Remember, children are not capable of hearing or understanding a mature message.
Children are unwilling to set aside the partial and the elementary that are before them.
Many childish leaders will remain unwilling to change their message because they will continue to hear and understand as children.
The Remnant
The Remnant is transitioning out of the immaturity of the modern charismatic and prophetic movement.
There is a real yearning in the remnant to go on to the mature measure of Christ.
They see that the charismatic movement has become stagnant, and they know there is more.
The “more” they are seeking is Christ Himself — a greater internal revelation of Jesus Christ and a transfiguration into His image.
A hunger is arising in the remnant to hear the unrestricted voice of The Father and to understand what He really wants to do in His People.
We have not yet arrived at that which is perfect, and we still have a long way to go!
Humility is recognizing that we are in great need of The LORD and seeking Him to work in us.
The process and the journey are not easy, because of what The LORD must allow in our individual lives to get our self-life out of the way.
But through the trials, tribulations, and seasons of suffering, The Father can and will bring His Son forth in full measure within us.
The Father is worthy to get what He wants. May our will be conformed to His will, and may our focus become what He is focused on.
If The Father has been silent recently, it may be because He has been doing a work in you.
Once the Work is Finished in Us
Once that work is finished, you will be able to hear, see, and understand with a whole new level of maturity.
You will no longer misunderstand and misinterpret what The Father is saying.
The Father’s current silence is not His abandonment of us. He simply wants us to come to maturity so we can hear Him as adults.
He doesn’t want to be misinterpreted and misunderstood any longer. He desires us to put away that which is in part so we can enter into the “full.”
The immature will be afraid to let go of that which “is in part,” because they do not understand that which is “full measure.”
When Christ has come to full measure in a person, then His love, character, nature, and fruit are flowing from that person.
A gift that is “in part” is no longer necessary, because the full measure of the Person of Christ is living in the vessel.
The One who is “all knowledge” is being manifested through the vessel.
The Healer Himself is living through the person.
Perfect love is manifested through the vessel as The Father desires.
The partial giftings of the Spirit are done away with, as the greater works that Jesus spoke of are fulfilled through the coming forth of mature sons of God.
“For now we see in a mirror indirectly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known.” 1 Corinthians 13:12 NET.
“Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that whenever it is revealed we will be like him, because we will see him just as he is. And everyone who has this hope focused on him purifies himself, just as Jesus is pure.” 1 John 3:2-3 NET.
Remember, His Kingdom is inward.
We can know Him and see Him inwardly now!
