We are God’s Children through Faith in Jesus Christ.

His enemies are our enemies.  There is no such thing as “our side” and “our enemies” — just God’s side and God’s enemies.

God’s enemies can’t read our minds, but they have had several millennia to run surveillance on humanity.

They are not creative, but they are acutely observant.

Their “Black Chamber” or “Cabinet Noir” has been gathering intelligence for thousands of years.

These days, Cabinet Noir usually refers to political staff engaged in legitimate research of their political opposition.

A few hundred years ago, it referred to something less innocent.

A “Black Chamber” was the secret office of an intelligence gathering unit, usually within an official postal service.

The unit systemically extracted information from the correspondence of foreign diplomats and notable people.

Correspondence that came through the postal service was opened, read and recorded if necessary, before being resealed.  It was then forwarded to its destination as though it had never been tampered with.

Staff consisted of polymaths, secretaries and scribes, each with a specific task, including cryptanalysis, translation, transcription, stenography and forgery of signatures, seals and other ways to authenticate documents.

The intelligence unit was usually concealed in a separate part of the post service.  Documents could be copied, resealed and then released into normal channels within two to three hours, without sender or recipient noticing any delay or interference.

We believe the first Black Chamber in Europe was probably the one in the Thurn and Taxis postal service in Brussels, run by Alexandrine, Countess of Taxis during the Thirty Years’ War.

The most efficient was the infamous Imperial Geheime Kabinettskanzlei in Vienna.  There were several other major Chambers such as France, the United Provinces (now The Netherlands) and Hanover in Germany.

The LORD says today,  “Some of you have been concentrating heavily on enemy activities, seeking to anticipate their movements.

This is well-intentioned, but not best practice.  It is following the ways of the enemy and My ways are better than theirs.

Whatever you give your fullest attention to is what you worship most.

Incline your ears to My heart.  Fixing your eyes on Jesus, looking to Him always, praising and glorifying Him, magnifying His Holy Name.

The King’s Chamber, My Throne Room, is far more powerful and effective.

Fellowship with The LORD is the best intelligence gathering service possible.

I reveal My Secrets to My friends.

That is how you receive My heavenly Intelligence.

And that is how we win the war.  Together, in fellowship.

Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit!”
