A Bothersome Situation
I heard The LORD say, “Serve The LORD with Gladness!”
“A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise unto The LORD, all ye lands. Serve The LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that The LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For The LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.” Psalm 100:1-5.
“I AM not a difficult taskmaster!
Are My duties bothersome?
Is it really hard children –– the things I ask?
I hear many say, “Fake it until you make it.”
I know you try many things, but faking is not something My People can accomplish with Me!”
“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24.
“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto The LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” Isaiah 55:7.
“Think about how glad you are to receive a continuous paycheck.
Do you quit the job when your boss gives a poor performance review?
When your work standards are not adequate — your hands are still out to receive that paycheck!
Think how much better a paycheck feels when you have done an outstanding job.
Don’t you feel wonderful when the boss applauds your work?
Children this is how I want you to feel about serving Me.
Think about the wonderful reward at the end of your shift in — “Eternity”.”
“For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard. And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, and said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.” Matthew 20:1-4.
“Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” John 11:24-26.
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; and hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” John 5:24-29.
The LORD used this word to describe some Christian’s attitude toward service.
Egregious : [iˈɡrējəs] adjective: outstandingly bad; shocking.
My Thoughts
I save recordings of my family’s voices when they leave messages. Often, I receive comfort and joy by doing playbacks of the calls. My grandson left this recording in one of his messages:
“Hi grandma, I don’t mean to bother you — but I just called to say — I love you”.
This is the message God gives us every day.
- It may seem bothersome when The LORD wakes us up at an awkward time.
- It may seem bothersome when The LORD asks us to love a person who hurt us deeply.
- It may seem bothersome when The LORD asks us to love a boss who is mean and uncaring.
- It may seem bothersome when The LORD asks us to step out of our comfort zone to help someone in need.
- It may seem bothersome when grandchildren are dropped at the doorsteps.
- It may seem bothersome to offer an unsaved person salvation.
While we ponder bothersome things — ponder these Words:
“He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:3-5.
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” Philippians 2:5-8.
“That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:15.
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” John 10:27-28.
My Prayer
LORD, I don’t mean to bother YOU — I am just saying I love YOU.
LORD forgive me for treating YOUR request and requirements like a bunch of chores.
LORD forgive me for all the wrong I have done.
Most of all, forgive me for not rising to the occasion.
Thank YOU LORD, for your gift of Eternal Life.
Peace Out,
The Blessing of The LORD Be upon You,
Blessings,
