Saints, God is a present help, in your time of need.

“In the swelling of the Jordan,” is where we presently are. This was experienced greatly by the prophet Jeremiah, in which He was brought to consternation at the sign of the times, in which he lived.

As I was getting ready this morning, The LORD brought to mind, that before every great shaking of His People, the messenger’s heart was exposed, and cleansed.

I myself, have been humbled beyond all measure, at the beginning of the year, especially, as I went through a series of nights, in which The LORD showed me my own heart.

I hadn’t a clue how deceived I had been in some areas, distracted by the cares of life, in which the enemy tried to weary me.

Thanks be to God; He endued me with Wisdom and showed me!

Praise God!

This was the same for each of His prophets, before the sent warnings to the people.

God met Isaiah, in Isaiah 6, revealing the unclean lips, in which iniquity was found in him, and he was cleansed.

God showed Elijah, his own issues, so much so that the message of Jezebel, caused him to reflect inward, realizing he was no different than his forefathers, that the horror of it, caused him to want to die.

Jeremiah the prophet, likewise, is overwhelmed, and racked, as God uses the ungodly to reveal his own nature, where he, cursed the day of his birth.

Micah the prophet realizes his own iniquities, as God uses the briars of the time, to expose his heart.

Up until The LORD showed me this, I truly felt unworthy to sound the alarm, about the Return of Christ, calling God’s people to repentance.

God showed me that every fragile mouthpiece of mankind, whom He uses to call His People to repentance, has their own heart revealed, to walk in humility, not judging others.

Saints, many are like the Churches of Ephesus and Laodicea in the book of Revelation, and have either fallen from a great height, or are lukewarm.

Hear this, you wouldn’t know it, unless God showed you!

The Ephesians didn’t know they had fallen and appeared to be doing the work of The LORD in some areas.

God has shown me my own pride, as well as need to be broken and follow Christ, knowing His Grace and Mercy to do a mighty work in me.

With that said, like Isaiah, who said, “Woe is me! I am a man of unclean lips, among a people of unclean lips!” (Isaiah 6:5)

That is what I want to shout from the rooftops!

You don’t know your own heart! You might think you’re right with The LORD, and I would tell you, ask of Him, and see what He will show you.

In Jeremiah’s day, God rebuked him, preparing him for a time like non other.

“[But The LORD rebukes Jeremiah’s impatience, saying] If you have raced with men on foot and they have tired you out, then how can you compete with horses? And if [you take to flight] in a land of peace where you feel secure, then what will you do [when you tread the tangled maze of jungle haunted by lions] in the swelling and flooding of the Jordan? For even your brethren and the house of your father—even they have dealt treacherously with you; yes, even they are [like a pack of hounds] in full cry after you. Believe them not, though they speak fair words and promise good things to you.” Jeremiah 12:5-6 AMPC.

In the prior season, we have run with footman, where they enemy has tried to wear us out.

This represents the cares of life through circumstances, that have come to wear you down.

God tells Jeremiah to repent of being worn out by the prior season, and prepare for the season ahead, by His power, where he will tread the tangled maze of the swelling of the Jordan.

Saints, the swelling of the Jordan is a great metaphor for the last days, in which we find ourselves.

Please seek God and humble yourselves in fasting and prayer.
