Stand still and see the salvation of your God. Stand and do not be moved.
Faith and patience causes us to inherit the promises of God. The disciples were told to go to one place and tarry (wait) until the promise came. Then they were filled with the spirit.
If they had rebelled and waited a while then left, and gone somewhere else, they would have missed that promise and the spirit, which was the promise to them.
Tarry, wait in faith, not wavering. Upper room stuff here!
They needed to go where He said for them go, and stay until the promise came. Why?
Because God has appointed times and season and He knows where your breakthroughs are at and what is needed for them. Be led by His Spirit.
That does not mean he won’t lead you to another place, but until you have received what He was giving you there – the promise – wait and stay put. Then when they were filled with the Holy Spirit, He led them out to the world (Acts 2).
You must get the Spirit first, and be led to that. Then follow His Spirit to breakthrough after breakthrough.
You can only know the times and season as the spirit reveals them to you. So receive His Spirit, be led by His Spirit.
Stand in faith and patience. Wait for it to arrive. Get your will in alignment with His will and wait until the promise comes.
Let patience have her perfect work that you will be entire, lacking nothing, (James 1:4). Do not be anxious for anything! (Philippians 4:6). Then he will lead you to the hurting for those to receive their breakthrough as well. The great commission. Amen!
