I recently wrote, “The LORD is about to ‘cleave’ Wales — open her up, and split her down the middle to make a way for Holy Spirit to begin His healing work. To heal the broken dam that is the Welsh Church.”

The only way that I can think of to heal a broken dam is to unite the parts once more into a water tight whole.

Let me step back and start again…..

I have experienced the fear of The LORD very strongly. It happened when I entered Blaenannerch Chapel in Wales which is famous for its connection with the 1904 Welsh Revival.

I stepped into the building, small by most standards, and I immediately felt the presence of God there. The Anointing in that wee Chapel was tangible.

I knew I was on Holy ground when, as I approached the Pulpit and the very small area just in front of it, where the Pastor and Deacons used to sit, I felt The Spirit say that I must not stand or tread there — it is still Holy Ground.

I did not dare to step there — I have since that time — but normally I still don’t!

The feeling was so strong that day, and I stayed out of the area. I was reminded of Ananias and Sapphira, (Acts 5), and Uzzah (2 Samuel 6:6-8) all three of whom The LORD used to put The Fear of Him into those watching.

I relate this because I believe we have an urgent need to recultivate this Fear of The LORD.

We need to respect The LORD, respect His anointing, respect His Presence, and seek His Face before we seek His hand.

We have already clearly seen the false doctrines, sloppy gospel, and sin in both leaders and congregation that is the beginning of the ‘great falling away’ and the separation of sheep and goats, wheat and tares. In modern terminology, we call this ‘personal holiness’ and it perfectly describes the character, morality, and integrity required by The LORD for this work.

The Fear of The LORD is needed as the driving force and motivation behind a new Holiness Movement in The Church.

What does The LORD say?

“Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I AM The LORD your God!” Leviticus 20:7.

He also says,

“but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be Holy, for I AM Holy.” 1 Peter 1:15-16.

Such were my thoughts as I sat listening, praying, thinking in that wee Chapel.

I AM not worthy to carry Revival. You are not worthy to carry it either.

Yet God, in His vast Mercy, uses cracked and unworthy, even seemingly incapable vessels like us to do just that!

He uses you and me both to carry Revival. How extraordinary is that?

But He only chooses those whose personal walk with Him is as close as we’re ever likely to get to being holy.

This is why personal Holiness is a must. And this is how The LORD has shown me that He is preparing to heal the broken dam that is the Welsh Church.

A new Holiness Movement is coming very soon.

It will split the Welsh Church asunder so as to enable The LORD to separate A Holy Remnant to Himself — it has started.

“The LORD is about to ‘cleave’ Wales — open her up, and split her down the middle to make a way for Holy Spirit to begin His healing work.

To heal the broken dam that is the Welsh Church.”

The Hebridean Revival prayer seems appropriate right now, suitably amended for today :-

“Oh God, you made a promise to pour water on the dry ground, and Lord it’s not happening.”

“LORD, I don’t know how those reading this stand in Your Presence; I don’t know how they stand, but LORD, but if I know anything about my own heart, I stand before you as an empty vessel, thirsting for You and for a manifestation of Your power.”

“Oh God your honour is at stake; and I now challenge you to fulfill your covenant engagement and do what you promised to do.”

I am daring to pray this Prayer.
