Ding Dong Merrily on High!
Preface
I received the first verse of this psalm from a friend before The Holy Spirit led me to write the subsequent verses here below.
Only after writing it, did I go back to look at the title of the psalm more carefully, because I vaguely remembered this as a song.

GR Woodward
I did some research and found that the original portion given to me was from an English Christmas Carol written by Pastor George Ratcliffe Woodward and now in the public domain, having been included in twelve Church of England hymnals over the years.
Please see Wikipedia for more background on the original Carol “Ding Dong Merrily on High!” and here too.

“The LORD has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all. Bless The LORD, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, obeying the voice of his word! Bless The LORD, all his hosts, his ministers, who do his will! Bless The LORD, all his works, in all places of his dominion. Bless The LORD, O my soul!” Psalm 103:19-22.
“…speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to The LORD,” Ephesians 5:19.
“And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of The LORD! Hosanna in the highest!”” Matthew 21:9.
“The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to The LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, the singers raised their voices in praise to The LORD and sang: “He is good; his love endures forever.” Then the temple of The LORD was filled with the cloud,” 2 Chronicles 5:13.
“Praise The LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise The LORD. Praise The LORD.” Psalm 150.
“Let the heavens praise your wonders, O Lord, your faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones! For who in the skies can be compared to The LORD? Who among the heavenly beings is like The LORD, a God greatly to be feared in the council of the holy ones, and awesome above all who are around him? O Lord God of hosts, who is mighty as you are, O Lord, with your faithfulness all around you? You rule the raging of the sea; when its waves rise, you still them. You crushed Rahab like a carcass; you scattered your enemies with your mighty arm. The heavens are yours; the earth also is yours; the world and all that is in it, you have founded them. The north and the south, you have created them; Tabor and Hermon joyously praise your name. You have a mighty arm; strong is your hand, high your right hand. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you. Blessed are the people who know the festal shout, who walk, O Lord, in the light of your face, who exult in your name all the day and in your righteousness are exalted.” Psalm 89:5-16.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6.
“Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”” Luke 2:13-14.

Gabrielle Fuehrer came to The LORD in Spring 2020 and soon began receiving inspiration from The Holy Spirit in the form of Poems (Psalms), meant to praise, glorify and worship our Lord Jesus Christ and uplift the Body of Christ. A preschool teacher, surrounded by the blessings and love of the little ones she teaches, Gabrielle also runs the website, “Imagine a Love Like That“.
“Let everything that has breath praise The LORD.” Psalm 150:6.

Gabrielle Thank you for the preface. Let me tell you I had been hearing some of the unfamiliar carols few months ago and thought it peculiar. This is a good confirmation. Blessings
