Forgiving Can Lead to Forgetting!

Today, as I was searching for some important papers, I found a piece of paper that I had written on (I do that a lot and then forget where I put it)!
It stated the very powerful Truth I must share with you as part of closure on what I have written so far regarding Forgiveness.
I do not know the source of this — but I must share with you because it is a true Key to remember!
But it is not total forgiveness until both are equally true!“
Beloved, please pause and think about that!
I personally have dealt with anger in myself over a long period of time and as I was recalling this, The LORD asked, “Do you remember the first time you asked me to ‘show you your heart’ and I showed you the anger in your heart and you could not forgive yourself?”
I said, “Yes, LORD!”
He said, “Many are dealing with this same anger at self in this hour.
Not forgiving yourself and holding onto anger are rooted in self hatred.
So many who are angry in the world today and are expressing it in the political arena as well as The Church — but I, The LORD your God have come to send a love message to all of those today.
Regret for things in your past has led to guilt in your heart and you are unable to forgive yourself.
A pattern of fear that someone would judge you led to anger and the anger is lodged in your heart and when the enemy pushes your button, you explode with self-hatred over the years you have wasted.
Regret over what might have been — or should have been — cannot be changed and has kept you stuck in the past.
I have come to take those wasted years and bring healing and restoration to the deep regret in your heart.
Regret is buried deeply, but I AM digging a deeper Well of Joy, to spring up, as restoration begins to flow in your life like a rushing mighty river cleansing and restoring your hope and give you a future,” says The LORD.
“Your best days are in front of you.
Love, Peace and Contentment are right at the door!
Yes, just as I said in My Word, “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten!” (Joel 2:25)
Indeed, watch Me, as My Hand of Blessing is being poured out to those have suffered at the hand of the enemy.
Many have believed a lie that it is too late, but I say, I have come to redeem the time and give back double all that has been lost or stolen,” says The LORD.
““So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great Army which I sent among you.” Joel 2:25.
“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15–16.

Well what is amazing to me is more then forty years ago a few weeks after I got saved or believed on Jesus the first thing I did was
Go around and forgive any one and everyone one who had anything against me. And I am talking about people who would kill you.
I was not saved in a church setting and at the time never been to church. My thought was God had forgiven me through his son so I would go around and forgive all who were offended by me in any way. It never dawned on me to forgive my self. I figured God had forgiven me through Jesus Christ and that was and always has been good enough for me. Side note in forty years I have almost always found Christians who don’t forgive or are easily offended almost always believe some funny things about God himself forgiveness seems to be a problem for them just a thought.
That was such an appropriate and heart rending act of obedience to the Lord, my friend David..thanks for sharing that sweet part of your story aka your surrender to your Lord and savior. It is indeed most needed in this era and culture. It is also time to forgive self. It is so true, just as ‘self will never crucify self’ because self is always on self’s side…neither will self forgive self for the same reason. (WOW..just got this revelation!!!!!) So what more can be said. It is time fo “I surrender all”..I surrender all!! Thank you for being my friend. Thank you for sharing your heart! In His love, Sandi
Awesome..Amen.
Dear Sis, So glad you liked it. God is dealing with all of us to forgive and forget, to forgive and be forgiven. In His Love, Sandi
Sandi For me personally was forgiving myself, like I had said I came from a very abusive marriage and my kids will say something to me about something I did in the past, I was a very angry person and its like that person is a stranger to me now I don’t know her anymore. The Lord had told me the past is the past let it go and I have had to forgive myself it wasn’t easy but now I know that person died and this person is a live in Jesus. Now I am in the present, walking into my Lord’s future, its not mine anymore it’s all HIS. Hugs Pamie
Dear Pamie, what a beautiful testimony on forgiveness. I am so glad you shared how the change actually took place for you and in you. It seems we all go through a reaction of anger in the beginning until the Lord steps in and changes our heart. WHen He shows us our heart, it is a moment we never can forget because it is obvious, He is changing our heart to be like HIS! Thanks for sharing. Hugs to you as well, Sandi
Hallelujah!
It seems you must forgive yourself first, before you can truly forgive others because of Jesus’ words: love others as you love yourself. And forgiving is part of loving. All of which is only possible with God’s help.
Amen. my sister, Joanna…only with the help and grace of GOD. We must get past feelings and realize the depth of Father, forgive them for they know not what they do. (You might want to read the 2 previous words I recently posted here recently on Forgiveness…they are all connected to the process of forgiveness)! In His Love, Sandi
Sandi, such an Encouraging Word. I had to get past those stolen years – and even recently, I said to a friend that I’ve been a Bridesmaid so many times, but I have something more valuable, “A Strong Foundation in the Lord, as I wait for the Manifestation of His Wonderful Purposes and Promises to unfold, because I do Believe He Will Restore to us the stolen years.
Blessings peace and love to you my dear friend Sandi.
YES, sweet friend Jennifer, I SHOUT AMEN to that! And unfold they will because RESTORATION TIME is HERE!!!!!!! All that he has stolen. God is working out every detail and leading you forward as we speak. In His unfailing LOVE, Sandi
Sandi, yes and amen. The whole series is very beneficial you wrote with Fathers words.
Trying to read and glean this morning from part 2. This one I will only pull out the ending, which I believe caps it all.
“Many have believed a lie that it is too late, but I say, I have come to redeem the time and give back double all that has been lost or stolen,” says The LORD.
These are precious Words and promise from the Lord. It goes hand and hand with the Written Word of God so well. Thank you for sharing these articles on forgiveness. ❤️
Thanks so much, my wise sister and friend, Joyce. As you recognized what the Lord was doing, the three articles are a process and are part of my book. Just as forgiveness is a process, 1st the will, then 2nd the obedience and last but least 3rd the peace that passes understanding when there is no more flesh involved but the Holy spirit has brought understanding and deep healing. He is working out every detail in His flock of “Father, forgive them, they know not what they do”. Jesus words were final and He walked it out to the end and set the example..Oh how He loves you and me. In that same love, I love you! Sandi
