Getting the Canaanite Culture Out!
After being forgotten, ignored, pushed aside, neglected, even in the most innocent naivety, the childlike soul against all odds was never able to be kept in the origins of others, only in the origin of her childlike faith in her God.
Against all odds, she started out jaded from such a young age. It never failed, but it seemed that man’s plans drew her into what seemed good but in time it was proven to be very wrong.
The more she was thoroughly beaten by life, she learned by experience to depend on The LORD and to walk alone.
In her mind suddenly she began to realize through many mini revelation bombardments.
She finally understood why she never realized her worth in others and in all places.
She found herself everywhere as if no one would dare look at her as if she was invisible.
Never a nice word or ANY word at all.
The only lower dog setting would be at the feet of people, and she scampered to gain whatever crumbs fell from the table.
She began to understand why the path she walked in prior always kept her hungry for acceptance and love, yet the chains and shackles had the similar ring when she would move.
She loved The LORD and accepted her lot in life. She determined if the bottom of the Master’s table was her highest goal, she laid down and accepted her talent with tears.
She held onto the name they called her, “dog” so in being part of her Canaanite culture she could trust and wait for the smallest measure to meet her deepest need.
While living her lower life and the others who were always seated at the table, she resided at the closest spot outside the covenant peoples reach as she was happy to see a morsel of grace come her way.
Somehow, she knew the only place was to wait for Messiah to lift her up.
Yet she didn’t realize she was nearer than when she first believed.
In this passage The LORD Jesus announced what great faith she has and He gave it to her according to her desire and her Faith!
“And having gone out from there, Jesus withdrew to the parts of Tyre and Sidon And behold, a Canaanite woman from those borders, having come out, was crying out, saying, “Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is miserably possessed by a demon.” But He did not answer her a word. And having come, His disciples were imploring Him, saying, “Dismiss her, because she cries out after us.” And answering, He said, “I was not sent, except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” And having come, she was worshiping Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” And answering, He said, “It is not good to take the bread of the children and to cast it to the dogs.” And she said, “Yes, Lord, for even the dogs eat from the crumbs falling from the table of their masters.” Then answering, Jesus said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that hour.” Matthew 15:21-28 BSB.
