Happy New Year! 5785!
Happy New Year to you on GOD’s Calendar!
Today is 1 Abib, which begins the New Year 5786 on GOD’s Calendar.
Contrary to Scripture, Jews and many believers in CHRIST erroneously say Rosh HaShanah begins the new year.
And contrary to Scripture, Gentiles and almost all believers erroneously say 1 January begins the new year.
But in His Word, GOD says:
“This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you.” Exodus 12:2.
The start of this New Year is on the first day of the week.
Our LORD JESUS CHRIST rose from the dead on the first day of the week (John 20:1).
This New Year on GOD’s Calendar starting on the first day of the week indicates Release of The Power of His Resurrection into this New Year for us.
And Resurrection brings JOY!
Therefore, REJOICE! (Matthew 28:9; Philippians 4:4).
Rejoice and have a Happy New Year of JOY.
Hallelu-YAH!
The Joy of THE LORD has come.
Rejoicing and living a life of Joy in THE LORD attract Him to you and your situation.
Let The King of Glory come in (Psalm 24:7-10) with The POWER of His Resurrection to raise you and your life from every troubling situation.
AMEN!
“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having Salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey. I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem; the battle bow shall be cut off. He shall speak Peace to the nations; His Dominion shall be ‘from sea to sea, And from the River to the ends of the earth.’ ” Zechariah 9:9-10.
Let The Joy of THE LORD be your Strength. Amen.
‘Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this Day is Holy to our LORD. Do not sorrow, for The Joy of THE LORD is your strength.” ’ Nehemiah 8:10.
Explainer
Abib (Exodus 13:4) is pronounced Aviv in Hebrew.
It has also been called Nisan since the Babylonian exile.
Nisan is an Akkadian word.
Now, Rosh HaShana was designated The New Year in the Talmud (the text of Rabbinic Judaism), which, according to Wikipedia, is rooted in the Judaism of the Pharisees.
Like the practices of the Pharisees in The Days of JESUS, Rabbinic Judaism, “the mainstream form of Judaism since the 6th century” (Wikipedia), says, commands and does a lot of things not in The Word of GOD.
So is their designation of Rosh HaShana as the start of the new year, instead of Abib in which GOD instituted Passover in His WORD.
As The Passover of the children of Israel from death and bondage into the New Year of new life of freedom in the new land (The Promised Land), so is our Passover from death at Calvary into Newness of Life in CHRIST JESUS.
“Therefore we were buried with Him through Baptism into death, that just as CHRIST was raised from the dead by The Glory of THE FATHER, even so we also should walk in Newness of Life.” Romans 6:4.
Our LORD JESUS CHRIST was crucified at Passover to deliver us from death and bondage into Newness of Life and Freedom in Him, and ultimately The Promised Land of The Holy City, New Jerusalem in The Coming Age.
And so, we ought to celebrate the Biblical New Year with exceeding thanksgiving, great joy, great reverence, importance and seriousness of THE CROSS.
Although GOD still uses and works with the man-made calendars of both Jews and Gentiles, His Calendar is of utmost importance and reverence.
GOD’s Calendar for man begins with THE CROSS of CHRIST, prefigured by the first Passover in Abib on the night before the Exodus from Egypt.
Therefore, I say to you: Happy New Year!
From THE CROSS.
Have a year and life full of Resurrection POWER and GLORY!
Hallelu-YAH!
Postscript
You can read more about the three calendars (GOD’s Calendar, the Jewish calendar and the Gentile calendar) at the bottom of this previous Word: “2222 — GO Through The Open Door To Resurrection Riches!”

“The LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:22.
“Farewell” Acts 15:29.
~ Jacob Addison Awagah
Jacob, an apostle of JESUS CHRIST by The Will of GOD, according to The Promise of Life Which is in CHRIST JESUS, (2 Timothy 1:1).
Like John, I like to put my head to The Heart of JESUS so as to know and do His Will always. What’s in His Heart is what matters now and FOREVER. His Heart’s Desire is my only desire. My will is to do His Will.
As John was, I am the disciple whom JESUS loves. And like Paul, I am “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
NB. Surely, the disciple whom JESUS loves and “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS”, like ALL The Promises of GOD, are available to every believer to obtain, just as John and Paul did.
“And having been perfected, He [JESUS] became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.

It is the beginning of hebrew year 5785 which the Jewish calendar erroneously stated to have begun in Sept 2024. As Jacob says, nisan is always the first month of year according to scripture.
Praise YAH!!! Happy New Year!!!
Amen.
Why is there a difference? I alwys heard that The Hebrew year 5785, which began at sunset on October 2, 2024, and ends at sunset on September 22, 2025, is the current year according to the Hebrew calendar, which calculates years from the creation of the world.
