Happy New Year — 5787!
Happy New Year (5787)!
Happy New Year to you on GOD’s Calendar!
Today is 1 Abib, which begins the New Year 5787 on GOD’s Calendar.
I wrote previously that, contrary to Scripture, Jews and many believers in Christ erroneously say Rosh HaShanah begins the new year.
And contrary to Scripture, Gentiles and almost all believers erroneously say 1 January begins the new year.
But in His Word, GOD says:
“This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you.” Exodus 12:2.
Explainer
The Hebrew Word Abib (Exodus 13:4), pronounced Aviv in Hebrew, means “ear of grain” or “ripening”.
It has also been called Nisan since the Babylonian exile. (Nisan is an Akkadian word.)
Now, Rosh HaShana was designated The New Year in the Talmud (the text of Rabbinic Judaism), which, according to Wikipedia, is rooted in the Judaism of the Pharisees.
Like the practices of the Pharisees in The Days of Jesus, Rabbinic Judaism, “the mainstream form of Judaism since the 6th century” (Wikipedia), says, commands and does a lot of things not in The Word of God.
So is their designation of Rosh HaShana as the start of the new year, instead of Abib in which God instituted Passover in His Word.
As The Passover of the children of Israel from death and bondage into the New Year of new life of freedom in the new land (The Promised Land), so is our Passover from death at Calvary into Newness of Life in Christ Jesus.
“Therefore we were buried with Him through Baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by The Glory of The Father, even so we also should walk in Newness of Life.” Romans 6:4.
Our LORD Jesus Christ was crucified at Passover to deliver us from death and bondage into Newness of Life and Freedom in Him, and ultimately The Promised Land of The Holy City, New Jerusalem in The Coming Age.
And so, we ought to celebrate the Biblical New Year with exceeding thanksgiving, great joy, great reverence, the indispensable importance and seriousness of The Cross.
Although God still uses and works with the man-made calendars of both Jews and Gentiles, HIS Calendar is of utmost importance and reverence.
God’s Calendar for man begins with The Cross of Christ, prefigured by the first Passover in Abib on the night before the Exodus from Egypt.
Therefore, I say to you: Happy New Year! (From THE CROSS.)
Have a year and life full of Resurrection POWER and GLORY!
Hallelu-YAH!
As noted above, the Hebrew Word Abib (Exodus 13:4) means “ear of grain” or “ripening”.
The Promises of God to us for this season have long been ripening and are now ripe and ready.
Put in The Sickle of The LORD and reap!
I say again by The Word of The LORD:
The Promises of God to us for this season are ripe and ready.
Put in The Sickle of The LORD and reap!
(See how to, “From 1, ’26, It’s Psalm 126 Period: Put Forth the Sickle and Reap!“)

“The LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:22.
“Farewell” Acts 15:29.
~ Jacob Addison Awagah
Jacob, an apostle of JESUS CHRIST by The Will of GOD, according to The Promise of Life Which is in CHRIST JESUS, (2 Timothy 1:1).
Like John, I like to put my head to The Heart of JESUS so as to know and do His Will always. What’s in His Heart is what matters now and FOREVER. His Heart’s Desire is my only desire. My will is to do His Will.
As John was, I am the disciple whom JESUS loves. And like Paul, I am “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
NB. Surely, the disciple whom JESUS loves and “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS”, like ALL The Promises of GOD, are available to every believer to obtain, just as John and Paul did.
“And having been perfected, He [JESUS] became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.

Jonathan explains how Nisan1 is th day Jesus was born too. March 20, 6 BC. Very interesting! https://youtu.be/Dd9nuvxxlaU
Thank you for the good news, Jacob. What you wrote is so prophetic and hopeful to me because on the day of March 17th God showed an image of a field before my eyes. The rice plants were lush in the paddy, which were so tall and their heads were bent. And I saw my mom holding two sets of sickle beside the field. I am looking forward to God’s harvest. I believe God is working for His purpose behind the scene.
Happy New Year.
Oh, how this resonates with me. During the entire day I remembered the importance of this day and gave thanks to The LORD for the new day, new month and New Year. So a heartfelt agreement to your reminder / teaching: HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and your family, dear Jacob, and to all brothers and sisters in JESUS CHRIST who are reading this.
