His Glory Rests Upon Us
In a Vision I see an audience of many people and in the first two rows are seated many important dignitaries.
Their eyes are fixed on seven people at the front who are sitting on tall stools.
The seven people on the stools encompass a president, a prime minister, a princess or tribal leader, a judge, a broadcaster, a professor and a chef. Some are calm and some are trying not to look nervous.
They very closely resemble seven of the dignitaries in the front rows of the audience.
I see myself acting as a sort of “compere” or presenter, which is quite unlike me normally.
“Ladies and gentlemen,” I announce, “Thank you for attending our gathering. We don’t want to take up too much of your time so we will be brief. You may have noticed how much alike some of our people are to yours. They could easily be mistaken for each other. But this is how we tell them apart.”
I give a signal, then a door is opened and seven other people enter, each is carrying an octopus on a cushion.
The cushions have the names of each octopus embroidered on them and I can see Octavius, Oscar, Olivia, Odeya, Paco, Jun-Woo and Luise.
The octopus handlers walk up to the people on stools and stand just to one side of each person.
I carry on speaking, “If I asked any of you in the audience to do something bizarre for the glory of God, you’d laugh. But we do everything for The Glory of God! It’s our reason for living. So all of our people pass ‘The Octopus Challenge!’”
I turn to the octopus handlers with their little charges on cushions and ask, “Are the octopi willing?”
[There are three English words used to indicate more than one octopus. I’m a little old school, so I prefer octopi.]
The octopi nod solemnly, and so I turn to the seven people on the stools.
“Will you do this? For The Glory of God, the honour of [their family name, people group, nation, church etc], and the good of humanity?” I ask.
“Aye, we will,” reply the seven, “for The Glory of God, the honour of [their family name, people group, nation, church etc], and the good of humanity.”
I signal again and the handlers then bring the octopi and place them on the heads of the seven people on the stools, as the audience murmurs with dismay and shock.
The seven people squirm a little at first, and there is muffled giggling and groaning, not to mention some shameless whimpering.
Octavius is fully upright and quite composed on the prime minister’s head while Olivia is at a rather jaunty angle on the professor, while Jun-Woo and the judge bonded instantly and are slightly swaying in time on the stool, almost as though they are dancing together to angelic music we can’t hear.
Luise fidgets a little and has inserted the tip of one of her tentacles into the president’s ear, which isn’t ideal, but the president bears it with good grace.
On the whole the octopi remain calm and unstressed.
After their initial discomfort, the seven people settle down to the unusual experience, becoming peaceful like the octopi and they acquit themselves well.
The audience is dumbfounded. Some start muttering and shifting in their seats, especially in the two front rows, but many others are really interested and watch avidly.
After twenty-seven minutes have passed, I say to all, “All glory be unto The LORD! Well done everyone. This is how we do it ‘round here. Our demonstration is concluded.”
There is a pause, then applause fills in the room as the seven people rise from their stools, each still with an octopus on their head, and quietly go about their day.
Matthew 3:16, Galatians 3:26-27, John 4:23, Colossians 1:27, 2 Corinthians 3:18, 1 Peter 2:9, Psalm 29:2
Now, before anyone objects, I must warn you:
Please don’t take this as a mandate to put an octopus on your head or anyone else’s as it could cause stress to the animal and I am sure animal welfare groups would complain. I don’t advise it for humans either.
After I received this Vision from The LORD I discovered that a social media personality had filmed a video of himself singing, with an octopus on his head and he was apparently hospitalised shortly afterwards.
So please, please, “DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME”!
The octopus is an ambiguous image in Jewish and Christian traditions.
I have been praying and thinking about all this because of two recent Visions I have been given by The LORD which involved octopi, one of which is here, and one of which I shared previously.
Having neither fins nor scales the octopus is not considered clean in Jewish thought.
In Christian thought, some immediately think of an octopus spirit, a demon or unclean spirit, often of control, witchcraft or deception, but this is not what The LORD showed me in the Visions.
Another prevalent interpretation of the octopus tends towards positive attributes such as discernment; secret or hidden wisdom; spiritual growth and maturity; thoughtfulness and caution; sensitivity and awareness, which is more in keeping with what The LORD showed me.
Octopi have two eyes, like humans, but three hearts, two for their gills and one systemic heart — and they also have eight ‘arms’.
Eight (8) can represent many things, and I recommend doing a study of the Hebrew if you are interested, but here is a summary of what, after meditation with The Holy Spirit, I believe are most relevant.
- Eight (8) is the number of renewal, of new beginnings, new birth and new creation.
- Eight (8) is also a number of “completion”. Seven (7) is a “perfect” number, and eight is seven plus one, “perfection with abundance”.
- In Jewish thinking, the first day of a new week is also the eighth day of the previous week.
- Eight (8) people were saved in Noah’s ark. The LORD used those eight survivors of the flood to reset humanity.
- David was the eighth son of Jesse and once he was anointed The Holy Spirit did not depart from him.
- After the flood, Noah sent out the dove from the ark more than once, waiting seven days. Finally, on an eighth day, the dove did not return. (Genesis 8)
- Even more significantly, Jesus rose from the dead and appeared to his followers on a much later “eighth day”.
- Eight is also a number of consecration to The LORD. Male Jewish babies are circumcised eight days after birth. ( Genesis 17:12).
The twenty-seven (27) minutes of initial sitting on the stool with an octopus on their head is also significant.
Again biblically, twenty-seven (27) is also a number of “completion”, the cube (3 x 3 x 3) of the Holy number three (3), the number of the Trinity.
There are more interpretations and I’m sure you will know some I have not mentioned, and those are important ideas to bear in mind with this Vision.
The octopi I saw were not normal earthly cephalopods and there was something different about them.
I have no idea how I know this (how many of us correctly interpret the moods of an octopus?!), but these ones are happy and cheerful. Joy-filled, peaceful and holy unto The LORD.
There’s a paragraph you never imagined you would read!
These ‘holy octopi’ were also very sensitive, but they will not remain peaceful and happy if they are not carried well.
We must not grieve or quench The Holy Spirit.
The octopi characters are also interesting. They had different personalities and the seven people carried them differently, but it was all considered correct.
The names came from all over the world. Four have alliterative names beginning with the letter O, which could be considered utter silliness on my part (though Odeya is Hebrew) but three didn’t. Four were male and three female.
I believe this indicates that all people groups, denominations, ways of worship and different expressions of the Presence of The LORD are treasured by Him and will be welcome in the coming move of The LORD.
In the Vision, being capable of carrying or looking after an octopus correctly was reserved for those consecrated to The LORD.
The handlers holding the octopi on their cushions, were in positions of great responsibility, and equipping believers to carry an octopus was itself is a work of honour.
The seven people on stools were even more anointed.
Being willing to actually have one of these ‘holy octopi’ placed on your head indicates hunger for God, true humility and deep surrender to His Will.
“The Burning Ones” are willing to do whatever He asks and go where He sends them, however bizarre it may seem, whatever the cost may be.
They live in the centre of His Will, immersed in His living waters.
These qualities build strength in the Believer for the next step.
Being then able to actually cope with having an octopus on your head for an extended length of time, without damage to the animal or to you, is equivalent in this Vision to being fully clothed with Christ, The Holy Spirit fully resting upon you, as He did with Jesus, not given for only a season as with King Saul.
It is carrying the weight of His very Presence.
We will need to walk carefully indeed to be able to walk with His Presence resting always upon us.
Yet that is exactly what Jesus has made it possible for each of us to do.
On earth, He walked under an “Open Heaven.”
Because of Him, we now live always under an Open Heaven and it is for us to rise to this challenge in His Strength and play our part in bringing His Kingdom here on earth.
There will be people who look very similar to each other in terms of background, position and ability, but the difference between those under The Anointing and those without it, will be so marked that no-one will be able to ignore it, not even those who are sceptical about God.
The Glory will fall and be unmistakable. Unbelievers will see and recognise The LORD!

Amen! Standing in agreement for renewing and consecrating. Praying we can all live carrying anointing in the open heavens! I want a holy octopus!
