Holy Ghost: Pour Out, Pour Out, Pour Out; Fill Us to Overflowing!
In a Dream this morning, I was walking somewhere unknown and fervently praying: “Holy Ghost: pour out, pour out, pour out. Fill us to overflowing!”
Our LORD promised us this very Thing when preaching during The Feast of Tabernacles:
“On The Last Day, that Great Day of The Feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He Who believes in Me, as The Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow Rivers of Living Water.” But this He spoke concerning The Spirit, Whom those believing in Him would receive; for The Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” John 7:37-39.
The LORD will pour The Holy Spirit only on those who thirst for Him.
As He has said,
“For I will pour Water on him who is thirsty, and Floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, And My Blessing on your offspring,” Isaiah 44:3 NKJV.
Right from when the disciples were staying in The Upper Room “with one accord in prayer and supplication” (Acts 1:14) for The Holy Spirit as The LORD Jesus had commanded them (Luke 24:49), every Move of God has only been kindled by believers crying for Him, fervently and desperately asking to be filled and used by His Holy Spirit for His Glory.
For years now, like many other believers, I have been praying, surely seeking The Holy Spirit as He had told me to be doing.
Then I also started praying to hear and obey The Holy Spirit like Jesus in The Days of His Flesh, and overcome like Him.
Also, as He gave me Utterance, I have been praying: “Let this day be like The Day of Pentecost, and greater.” And that the earth be filled with The Glory of The LORD as the waters cover the sea.
Let us surely seek The Holy Spirit. Let us cry to God to fill the earth with The Knowledge of The Glory of The LORD as the waters cover the sea — all for His Glory and The Salvation of souls.
“For the earth will be filled With The Knowledge of The Glory of The LORD, as the waters cover the sea.” Habakkuk 2:14 NKJV.
It is only by The Holy Spirit can we walk in Power and do The Things of God for God. Absolutely nothing in life must be attempted/ done by our own might or power.
‘So he answered and said to me: “This is The Word of The LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says The LORD of hosts.” ‘ Zechariah 4:6 NKJV.
As Jesus said:
“But you shall receive Power when The Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8.
Power comes into us when The Holy Spirit comes upon us, and then we are wonderfully used by God for God.
Although The Holy Spirit is in us, His Unction to function is only received when He comes upon us and fills us for specific functions.
( The Holy Spirit is both in us and dwells with us. Thus, He is inside and outside of our persons for His Purpose.
See John 14:17; Acts 1:8; 1 Peter 4:14. )
We must be continually filled by The Holy Spirit from time to time, from purpose to purpose by devouring, meditating on and obeying The Word as well as fasting often (by The Grace of God I fast for sometime every week) and praying without ceasing (2 Timothy 2:15; 2 Corinthians 11:27; Colossians 4:2; 1 Thessalonians 5:17).
Believers who don’t do this choose to be the five foolish virgins lacking The Extra Oil (The Holy Spirit) for their lamps, and denied Entry by The Bridegroom into The Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 25:1-13).
Let us therefore fervently cry for Him: “Holy Ghost: pour out, pour out, pour out. Fill us to overflowing!”
“The LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:22.
“Farewell” Acts 15:29.
~ Jacob Addison Awagah
Jacob, an apostle of JESUS CHRIST by The Will of GOD, according to The Promise of Life Which is in CHRIST JESUS, (2 Timothy 1:1).
Like John, I like to put my head to The Heart of JESUS so as to know and do His Will always. What’s in His Heart is what matters now and FOREVER. His Heart’s Desire is my only desire. My will is to do His Will.
As John was, I am the disciple whom JESUS loves. And like Paul, I am “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
NB. Surely, the disciple whom JESUS loves and “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS”, like ALL The Promises of GOD, are available to every believer to obtain, just as John and Paul did.
“And having been perfected, He [JESUS] became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.
