I was reading the penultimate book of the Christian bible, also known as The General Epistle of Jude for inspiration. Jude was the brother of Jesus and James, and his Epistle comprises one of the shortest books of the Bible, and from experience, one of the less quoted books also.

As the Life Application Study Bible says of the book of Jude, its purpose is “to remind the church of the need for constant vigilance – to keep strong in the faith and to oppose heresy” and was “written to all Jewish Christians, and all believers everywhere.”

The reason the Epistle of Jude is needed is because since the first century onwards, the church has been threatened by heresy and false teachings – and because of this, we must always be on our guard.

We are now undoubtedly in the end times of this Church age and in a time of deception, in which the Church is being increasingly persecuted. If you want to know just how seriously Christians are being persecuted, just have a browse of these three websites:

As I read Jude v5-8, I came to the examples of judgement and the details of the lusts and sins of apostates:

“⁵ But I intend to remind you, you once knowing these things, that The LORD having delivered a people out of the land of Egypt, in the second place destroyed the ones not believing.
⁶ And those angels not having kept their first place, but having deserted their dwelling-place, He has kept in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgement of a great Day; ⁷ as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them, in like manner to these, committing fornication, and going away after other flesh, laid down an example before-times, undergoing vengeance of everlasting fire.
⁸ Likewise, indeed, also these dreaming ones even defile flesh, and despise rulership, and speak evil of glories.”

Reading Dake’s Annotated Reference Bible, I was drawn to the list of references which attach to this scripture entitled: the 16 sins of homosexuals. Interestingly, the physical practice of their sexual perversions comprises only one item on Dake’s list per se.

I don’t know about you, but I thought that the sexual perversions of homosexuals were all there was to homosexuality. Reading Dake’s list, I realised I had been deceived by the media and pro-homosexual clergy.

This list shows that what is in our hearts, what our intentions are, is very important to God. Committing a sin is one thing, remaining in that sin with no attempt as self correction or repenting, is something else.

The following list is based on the “16 sins of homosexuals” as outlined on page 274 of Dake’s Annotated Reference Bible.

Practice sex perversion	Jude 8	“Likewise, indeed, also these dreaming ones even defile flesh, and despise rulership, and speak evil of glories.”
	Romans 1:24	“Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves.”

	Genesis 4:23	“And Lamech said to his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice, wives of Lamech, listen to my speech. For I have killed a man because of my wound, and a young man because of my hurt.”
Serve in religion for gain	Jude 11	“Woe to them! For they went the way of Cain, and gave themselves up to the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Korah.
	2 Peter 2:15	“… who have forsaken the right way and have gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness…”
	Numbers 31:8	“And they killed the kings of Midian, besides the rest of their slain: Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian. They also killed Balaam the son of Beor with the sword.”

Rebel like Korah	Jude 11	“Woe to them! For they went the way of Cain, and gave themselves up to the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Korah.”

Practice hypocrisy	Jude 12	“These are sunken rocks in your love feasts, feasting together with you; feeding themselves without fear; waterless clouds being carried about by winds; fruitless autumn trees, having died twice, having been plucked up by the roots.”
Commit ungodly deeds	Jude 15	“… to do judgement against all, and to rebuke all the ungodly of them concerning all their ungodly works which they ungodly did, and concerning all the hard things ungodly sinners spoke against Him.”
	Romans 1:25	“For they changed the truth of God into a lie, and they worshiped and served the created thing more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.”
Blaspheme God	Jude 15	“… to do judgement against all, and to rebuke all the ungodly of them concerning all their ungodly works which they ungodly did, and concerning all the hard things ungodly sinners spoke against Him.“
Murmur and complain	Jude 16	“These are murmurers, complainers, leading lives according to their lusts. And their mouth speaks proud things, admiring faces for the sake of gain.”
Live in ungodly lusts	Jude 4	“For certain men crept in secretly, those having been of old previously written into this condemnation, ungodly ones perverting the grace of our God for unbridled lust, and denying the only Master, God, even our Lord Jesus Christ.”
	Jude 16	“These are murmurers, complainers, leading lives according to their lusts. And their mouth speaks proud things, admiring faces for the sake of gain.”
	Jude 18	“… because they told you that at the last time there will be mockers according to their lusts, leading ungodly lives.”

	2 Peter 3:3	“First, knowing this, that there will come in the last days scoffers walking according to their own lusts.”
Live in sensual lusts	Jude 19	“These are those setting themselves apart, animal-like ones, not having the Spirit.”

Throughout the world, the media is becoming increasingly more anti-Christian and vocally pro-homosexual.

They have even taken that wonderful old English word “gay,” meaning “having or showing a merry, lively mood” and sodomised it.

Hollywood is a perfect example of this perversion in action, where it is now almost mandatory to be homosexual to work in the entertainment industry.

Films and television now glorify the homosexual and castigate the Christian and their Christianity. Have a read of “‘Evolve This!’ Hollywood’s Anti-Christian Agenda in the Film Paul“* or view this first clip of six entitled “Is Hollywood anti Christian?”

We need to recognise that homosexuality is a sin and is un-natural and unacceptable in the sight of God. Yet when we look at Dake’s list of the 16 sins of homosexuals we can see that the homosexuality is a symptom of other underlying causes. If it were not, it would be impossible for homosexuals to be “cured.” But they are.
