Hope Delayed — The Wrath and the Mercy of God
A Word for 2026 perhaps…
“Where is revival? It’s been promised! — Where is it?”
I see this question daily in comments or messages to my inbox.
We’ve all experienced “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.” (Proverbs 13:12), especially this last year or so.
So, I took it to The LORD — not just for myself, although I am more than a bit curious, but for those, also like me, who are getting desperate, almost sick of waiting, for the promised move to manifest.
“LORD, your people wither for lack of hearing from you; from the silence in the heavens; from waiting for your promised Holy Spirit move and outpouring in Revival!
What’s the delay please?
When may we see this move in earnest?
We see dribs and drabs here and there. We see a hotspot occasionally.
Where is the revival we’re expecting, please?”
“I have two Bowls — a Bowl of Wrath and a Bowl of Mercy!” The LORD replies.
“Both are full to overflowing!
Yet neither shall tip, causing the Revival you’re awaiting, until the time I have set by My Own Authority!
Yet, despite all My Warnings, despite all your protestations of longing, still too many either don’t believe, or don’t care!
Yes, they don’t care! Their unbelief has slipped so far that they’ve almost lost faith.
The enemy’s tactics are working beyond even his expectations — but My tactics will not change.
I will pour out Revival precisely when I have planned to pour it out. It is much closer than many of you now believe — it is certainly much closer than your enemy wants.
His time is short and he is panicking!
So My Message to you is be patient — do not lose heart, for the clock is ticking; the ball is rolling; the bowls are beginning to tip.
You will see simultaneously My Wrath and My Mercy poured out — each upon those deserving it!
Those who expect and deserve nothing, will be satisfied, for they shall get nothing!
Those who deserve My Wrath shall receive it, but those who have waited patiently and deserve Mercy shall receive My Mercy — and Revival!
Millions shall be a part of the coming Revival Harvest.
The blood of the Martyrs cries out and demands it.
Then expect the real end-time events to unfold before you.
How long will this all take? As long as is necessary to fulfill My Plans written millennia ago before time began!” says The LORD Almighty.
Keep watching, people of God!
The Bridegroom is coming.
Be ready — lamps full, wicks trimmed.
The Bowls of the Wrath and Mercy of God are about to be poured out!
Keep the Faith!
Keep pressing in!
Keep looking forward, not back, expecting your prayers to be answered.
Above all, keep praying and interceding, for The LORD hears your prayers and honours your faithfulness.

As akways, my friend, Chris, a very timely rendition of facts, truth and Hope, even when we see it as deferred. I have often thought (this is just me) if hope is real, how dare I tell the Lord it is deferred? LOL! As I read this, I realized how few people actually understand a prophet and his words that almost always are for the FUTURE, not the here and now..HE does speak to us of what is coming, right? And His Timing is Perfect. More and more I personally am understanding GRACE and MERCY and God’s GOODNESS. Thank you for this beautiful word. The clock is ticking and our times are in HIS Hands. Sir, pardon me to say am of another view/opinion here today as an individual who is witnessing revival right from people around me & around the globe.
Note Sir, revival/harvest is not promised to hit every individual, church etc at the same time.
Those questioning the timing of the revival/harvest need to calmly look inward & around themselves & see that its happening to several people/individuals & in soveral places already.
It’s most unfortunate that many of us christians are already missing out as Revival/harvest is right here & taking place but on a different scale & way God deems fit & not how they or we want it.
May God help our unbelief, help our human perspectives/ human over analysis of God’s ways & open our spiritual eyes to see & believe that revival/harvest is right here. God bless you Pastor Chris

Thank you for your comments. I have to point out that firstly I simply quoted what so many are saying on social media. Then I posted what I understand to be the lords response. So my post isnt really an opinion.
Having said that, I actually agree that revival isnt for everyone, and it has started in many areas around the world. It’s just not hit many places in the West yet! That may be the reason so many are crying out for Holy Spirit to move in their part of the world – not recognising His move in places that aren’t within their usual vision.
We are both ‘right’ in our comments but we are coming at the whole revival from different points of view.

I’m drawn to this portion of God’s Word. “Those who deserve My Wrath shall receive it, but those who have waited patiently and deserve Mercy shall receive My Mercy — and Revival!”.
I believe some came upon the Truth of what they need to leave behind, but hardened their hearts. May God have mercy, and shine Light in Darkness.
