Jesus is extending His hand. The LORD says, “Come to Me and I will give you Rest …. In My Love there is Freedom, Healing and Rest for your weary, war-torn soul.”

Jesus says, “I came to carry your griefs and sorrows away … to bring you into the close embrace of Father’s love… where all healing begins.

Allow Me come to those buried places of emotional pain within.

Let Me heal your broken heart and set you free in My love.”

Dear Saints,

For some of you the journey has been long and hard… and perhaps many times you have wondered if wholeness and peace were truly possible… for you.

You know The LORD Jesus. You love Him and serve Him with all that you have in you… but perhaps sometimes you feel like you are operating out of “half a heart”… or as one who is a “walking wounded”, suffering just under the surface from deep, unhealed emotional pain.

The LORD Jesus, this very day, is extending His heart and His hand to you… to pull you into Himself and into the fullness of His love…

Wholeness is meant for you dear one, it is a part of Father’s plan from before the foundation of the earth.

In this article, I would like to set out some of the preliminary steps to emotional healing as guided by the precious Holy Spirit.

This is an area where The LORD has had me working in for many years now.

Before I am a counselor and practitioner though, I am a grateful recipient of His deep love to me in this area.

I know this message not by theory, or objective principles, but through the living experience of Father’s deep compassion, and healing love, the presence and truth of The LORD Jesus, and the personal counsel and guidance of The Beloved Holy Spirit.

I pray that in laying out some of these steps, that many of you will begin to find the lasting inner healing, love and peace that Father desires for us to come into as His children.

Inner Healing Prayer: Scaffolding

Below, I have included a Prayer that is a prototype of the prayers that The LORD gives me to guide the precious people who work with me.

It is my hope that it will be a meaningful and “living scaffolding” for you, allowing you to both follow with The Holy Spirit, and adjust as necessary.

This prayer came out of a direct response to someone in need. I wasn’t able to speak with them over the phone, but was only able to correspond with them through email.

I felt the leading of The Holy Spirit for them, and I knew that He wanted me to be able to provide them with a sample of guiding prayer so that He could begin His work in them.

Guidelines for the process:

These are the steps that I recommend to those I work with through the beginning stages of inner healing prayer.

First, I invite you to go through the prayer a couple of times with The LORD… Allow The Holy Spirit to begin to do His inner work, drawing you into the heart of Jesus, and familiarize yourself with the process.

You may not necessarily feel Him put His finger on something the first time that you go through the prayer, but the prayer process of listening and reflecting with The Holy Spirit will be preparing you to rest in His presence and receive the truth of His guiding word, and healing love.

You can then allow The Holy Spirit to begin to search your heart and soul for buried places of pain, and faulty mindset and heartsets while He makes you more aware of His leading, and the loving care of Father God presiding over the process.

Don’t be surprised to find that He uncovers something when you least expect it..but don ‘t worry- He chooses the time that He knows is best for each of us. He is our perfect Father.

My own Testimony of the process:

As I was interceding on behalf of a few of my people for their processes with The LORD, I felt The Holy Spirit encourage me to go through the process for myself as well.

As I listened deeply, and responsively to this inner healing audio, I was so amazed at The Holy Spirit’s leading.

He used this prayer to gently touch my own heart, and I could feel the work of His deep love in the hidden places of my heart.

I realized perhaps a half hour later, as I was in the midst of simple chores, that there was still an area in my heart… deep down, where I felt like I was a disappointment to The LORD, wondering if He had been able to do all that He wanted “in, to and through” my life…for His purposes.

I realized as I opened this up with Jesus that there was “a lie” from the enemy deeply imbedded with my heart, that went all the way back to childhood…

“Word curses” from significant people in my family had actually been operating just underneath the surface of my thinking like a slow poison seeping into my identity, and had carried subtle whispers of self-sabotage into my thinking all the way into adulthood.

I pondered on the faulty mindsets, and asked The Holy Spirit to take me back to where they may have either first, or significantly taken ahold in my thinking.

I remembered several experiences and messages from my early years, but a conversation in particular, in my late teens seemed to have “cemented a negative thought-expectation”, a lie — deep within my vulnerable heart.

I remembered a conversation with one of my “authority influences”… close to my graduation. At the time, I felt at a loss for direction, unprepared for what should come next in my life.

I remember so clearly standing there needing some clear affirmation and guidance but what I received instead was such a defeating message,

“You should be so much more. You have all of this potential, but you’re like a bud that never makes it to a flower.”

I can remember feeling like I had been hit, my head swirling, and then the numbness and frozenness that seemed to constrict my heart. *Important to note, that for many years, before Jesus healed me, I struggled with severe migraines.

How could I possibly reach any worthwhile goals in my life with that “negative, self- defeating sentence” hanging over my head? What could I reach for? … Was I really destined for anything worthwhile?

Now all of this was before Jesus gloriously met me…. He has since changed the trajectory of my life forever with His wonderful Truth and all encompassing love!

In this moment of reflection and disclosure from Holy Spirit, I knew that I could “walk” triumphantly back into that “memory moment” and speak “hope and empowerment” on behalf of of my younger self, in light of the glorious hope that I now know in Jesus.

So I allowed Jesus to come with me back into that memory, and stand beside me as I spoke confidently to the person across from me who had spoken that negative curse over me.

Where I had been “helpless and hopeless” to address back in time, I could now address confidently, with absolute hope and truth in who I was and am in The LORD.

I then asked The LORD to come and remove those death-dealing inner scripts, and release His life-giving hope and truth to my inner man.

When I finished, I could almost hear the click of the lock opening as Jesus freed a part of me from this prison of shame.

My Prayer for Release:

LORD Jesus, I allow You to free me once and for all from this self-defeating, inner script of shame, and remove it completely from my mindset.

Thank You LORD that You are removing all of its negative effects to my psyche.

You are restoring original intention for my personal sense of worth, allowing me to hear in the deepest part of my being Your love and acceptance of me.

I receive Your deep love, approval, and joy over me.

I know that there has always been a wonderful plan for my life Father, even through all of the heartache, sin, pain and personal suffering that I have gone through.

By Your great Mercy and Grace,You have, and will continue to use what I have gone through for Your Glory, and to help others.

A most wonderful aspect of my personal history and the work that You have called me to, is how You allow me to reach to the precious, “walking wounded” with the Hope of your deep, transformative love… and for this privilege I am in awe, and so deeply grateful.

Thank you precious Father, Wonderful Lord Jesus, and Beloved Holy Spirit!

Some immediate results:

It is with great joy that I report that the prayer has immediately produced responsiveness in many of my people, softening something in their heart, giving them confidence in the process, making them ready to respond to Holy Spirit, with expectation of His great good.

For one dear gal, at first it was almost like a little “emotional sliver” that The LORD was removing for her.

The Holy Spirit worked gently each time she listened to the audio prayer and pressed in for more.

For another, The LORD went in and recovered a long buried pain, reconciling a great loss.

For another, The LORD broke heavy chains of self-condemnation over harmful choices that they had made in their childhood leading to brokenness and illness.

And dear reader/ Believer, I want to encourage you, there is a certain hope for The LORD to meet you too in your hurt or pain.

He will come tangibly to you, freeing you from the grip of the enemy lies, as you hope in the goodness of God for you, “in the land of the living”.
