Is The Church Ready?

A question from several years ago.
Is The Church any closer to being ready today? You decide!
“LORD, send Revival.
If not here, send it somewhere close so we can join with them, so we can all share your goodness.
If not here LORD, send it to our Sister Church, that we might celebrate Your Glory with them!
We’d love You to send it here LORD, but if not, then send it close by so that we don’t miss the move of Your Spirit on our community!”
When was the last time you heard this, or anything close, prayed in any Church anywhere?
To be truthful, I’ve only ever heard these sentiments expressed just once in my seventy plus years of Church going.
Admittedly, I’ve missed a few meetings, so I might have missed hearing this Prayer, but I don’t think so!
The Church in general just isn’t ready for this type of unity.
The truth is that the vast majority of Churches just aren’t ready.
We’re unwilling to Repent. We’re unwilling to Share their resources or to Support one another’s efforts.
The sin of selfishness is rampant in today’s Church!
Most don’t even preach Repentance, let alone being willing to practice it!
So, even when Revival does land close by, rarely, if ever, does another local Church offer help.
Indeed, many of them discourage their members from attending at all, ‘for fear of losing some of them’!
Oh LORD, shake your Church out of its fenced in attitudes, and instill a heart willing to share and to help.
Then we’ll all get a measure of Revival?

He has also operated Healing Rooms, and worked with deliverance teams, all with his wife, Linda. Happily now doing whatever The LORD asks of them!
