Israel’s Retaking of Mount Hermon: Heaven’s Sign of Restoration To Us

Israel seized the military opportunity with immediate strategic operations in Syria when the country’s dynastic despot, Bashar al-Assad was toppled from power on December 8, 2024, and he fled into exile in Russia.

( The authoritarian Assad dynasty had ruled Syria for fifty years. )

One strategic location Israel swiftly took was the Syrian side of Mount Hermon.

Like much of The Promised Land: “from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates,”

Hermon is part of Israel’s inheritance given to the Covenant nation by THE GOD of Israel — Whose is the whole earth (Psalm 24:1). But it had been usurped and held in enemy captivity for centuries.

Mount Hermon: Some Key Facts

According to Rosen School of Hebrew (rosenhebrewschool.com),

“The mountain is actually a cluster of mountains with three distinct summits, each about the same height. The Anti-Lebanon Range extends for approximately 150 km (93 miles) in a northeast-southwest direction, running parallel to the Lebanon range on the west. The Hermon range covers an area of about 1000 square km…”

Mount Hermon, by its unique plateau, elevation and location, offers very good strategic military observation and defence capabilities for Israel against its enemies all around.

Israel has had control of parts of the mountain range which it seized during the 1967 Six-Day War.

“Since the Arab-Israeli war of June 1967, about 40 square miles (100 square km) of Mount Hermon’s southern and western slopes have been part of the Israeli-administered Golan Heights; they have been developed for recreational use, especially skiing.” (Britannica.com).

Now Israel has taken back all of it back, including hundreds of kilometers of connected land.

When the al-Assad government was toppled, as The Telegraph (a leading British newspaper) reported online that day, “Israel took control of two new areas on its northern border; the Syrian side of Mount Hermon and a buffer zone separating Syria from the Israel-annexed Golan Heights.”

Without controversy, The Promised Land (Israel) is from “the river of Egypt to the River Euphrates“. This covers a very HUGE area (hundreds of kilometres) of land from parts of Egypt to Iraq!

THE WORD OF GOD cannot lie; It is THE WORD OF TRUTH, forever. Not UN conventions and resolutions, international law, any other law, or so-called peace treaties regarding the land of Israel.

Here’s What GOD says:

“On the same day THE LORD made A Covenant with Abram, saying: “To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates” Genesis 15:18.

“And I will set your bounds from the Red Sea to the sea, Philistia, and from the desert to the River. For I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you.” Exodus 23:31.

However, today, Israel is only occupying a very tiny portion of The Promised Land. And even this paltry portion it currently occupies, the unGODly have been relentlessly vilifying and slandering the country about it.

A libellous lot abound about Israel and its territory.

Gaza, and the so-called “West Bank” (called Judea and Samaria in The Days of JESUS and beyond, and even in Israel today), are all part of the bona-fide, legally owned land of Israel. But the media won’t tell you that; only the continual falsehood of “the occupied West Bank”.

The word “Palestine” is a Roman fakery to erase the name of Israel from the land. But because THE WORD OF GOD stands forever, Israel returned to dwell in its land, just as GOD had said through Isaiah and other prophets.

So, when Israel retook the Syrian side of Mount Hermon this month, it was of great prophetic significance and indication to me.

Mount Hermon is believed (not stated in Scripture) to be the “High Mountain” on Which THE LORD was transfigured (Matthew 17:1-9).

Hermon is however of various references in The Bible, the most consequential being Psalm 133.

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like The Precious Oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments. It is like The Dew of Hermon, Descending upon The Mountains of Zion; For there THE LORD commanded The Blessing— Life forevermore.” Psalm 133:1-3.

“The Dew of Hermon” means Blessing from Heaven.

And so, Israel repossessing Mount Hermon at this time after all these millennia, prophetically indicates Heaven’s restoration of blessing — restoration of what was lost, delayed, denied.

As I have shared repeatedly in some previous Words, these are The Times of Restoration of all things (Acts 3:19-21).

However, as “a good soldier of JESUS CHRIST” in warfare (2 Timothy 2:3; 1 Timothy 1:18; Ephesians 6:12-18), one must take spiritual military action led by THE HOLY SPIRIT to obtain restoration.

Just as in the natural Israel took military action to retake Hermon, so we who serve THE GOD of Israel must take military action in the spiritual as led by His SPIRIT to possess our possession.

One’s Promised Land (any Promise of GOD to one), must be fiercely fought for to obtain it. There are always giants/ adversaries/ hindrances to battle to possess your Promised Land.

When the opportunity presents itself, we must seize it and take the land, as Israel did with Mount Hermon this month.

To succeed as a believer, one must readily discern What GOD is doing, and follow Him in doing it. That’s how we take the land for Him.

Paul was on a mission trip to the Corinthian Church, but during a stopover, he discovered A Divinely Pre-planned Opportunity presented to him by GOD in Ephesus. He immediately devoted himself to do What GOD had just revealed to him:

“But I will tarry in Ephesus until Pentecost. For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.” 1 Corinthians 16:8-9.

GOD then used him MIGHTILY to do Greater Works and establish the Church in Ephesus as recounted in Acts 19. It was to this Church that he subsequently wrote The Book of Ephesians, full of deep Divine Revelations.

That Great and Effective Door he had discerned and entered, led to great things then, and even for us today (having Acts 19 and Ephesians)

By The Issachar Anointing, we must be quick to discern the times and know what we ought to do.

“of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command” 1 Chronicles 12:32.

Now is the set time to receive The Dew of Hermon: Blessing/ Restoration of Blessing being released from Heaven right now.

As Paul commanded: “Observe Israel after the flesh” (1 Corinthians 10:18).

What is going in Israel, is a reflection of what is happening spiritually.

“You will arise and have Mercy on Zion; For the time to favor her, Yes, the set time, has come.” Psalm 102:13.

This is the set time of favour, restoration.

Get yours now. By utterly depending on THE HOLY SPIRIT to lead and help you. Amen.

“And having been perfected, He [JESUS] became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.
