Fight to the Finish! — 4 Comments

  1. Dear Pastor June, I was once given a prophetic word to ‘stake the ground, and to not give any of it back to the enemy’.  I had difficulty understanding what that meant.  I think it’s because I was brought up believing that I was a ‘nothing’ and therefore had no right to expect to be given anything from my parents.  Indeed, I was constantly told that if I dared ask for anything I’d be given a hiding, which I did get.  Consequently, ‘fighting to the finish’ and ‘not giving up’, for someone who’s been conditioned to believe that they are a waste of oxygen, is rather difficult to comprehend.  Though, that’s NOT what our Abba Father says, thank God!

I watched an old movie called, ‘Far And Away’ two nights ago, and there is a scene in it where the ‘great Oklahoma land rush’ Race takes place in 1893.  Thousands of people lined up in covered wagons and on horseback to compete for the choicest piece of free land, by putting a stake in the ground.  People were even shooting each other to get there first!  That scene really spoke to me about what it means to run my race to the end.  And now I am reading the Lord’s words, ‘Fight to the Finish’.  WOW!  Thank you so much, Ps. June for bringing the Lord’s word of encouragement to us, and at just the right time for me. ❤️

Joshua 1:9: ‘Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (ESV).

“The act of putting a stake in the ground signifies a profound declaration of belonging and a commitment to remain. It’s a settled, irreversible decision to stand firm in the place God has appointed, even when faced with opposition. This action requires effort, much like climbing a mountain, but it leads to a sense of accomplishment and a firm stance. It’s about taking ground by making a decision to be rooted and unwavering.

“Endurance is to remain under pressure without abandoning your assignments. It’s not passive suffering. Sometimes we think of endurance as suffering. I’m passively suffering. No? Endurance is active faith under resistance. Endurance is a faith that refuses to quit when circumstances disagree with the promise. Endurance is not about how strong you are, it’s about how firmly you are aligned with what God has said over your life.“…..a sermon clip from INCOURAGE CHURCH.

  2. As long as I have the breath of Life in me I WILL NEVER QUIT!  The precious Holy Spirit empowers me to overcome and triumph in Christ Jesus!  The devil is of no consequence in my life as I follow after, and submit myself to God.  I will continue to fight the good fight of faith and finish my race triumphant in Christ Jesus.  QUITTING IS NOT AN OPTION!  Why would I quit when my Lord Jesus has conquered the devil in my stead, and has already given me the Victory!  All glory to God Almighty! Hallelujah and Amén!

Thank you so much, Dr. Reinke, for the precious words of edification, exhortation and comfort that you post regularly.  They are an immense blessing to me!  God bless you with joy unspeakable and full of glory. ❤️️
