John 3:16
Ever wonder what John 3:16 means?
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 KJV.
This scripture means we live in a world filled with light and darkness.
God made a point in creation to acknowledge Light.
He called “Light” good. The distinction about Light prompted Him to separate it from darkness. Light is a good thing!
“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.” Genesis 1:3-5 KJV.
John 3:16, indicates God wants to keep mankind moving toward light.
When God made Adam and Eve — they stepped into something — His Light. But when they sinned they also stepped out of something — God’s perfect Will.
Sin causes man to choose alternative lifestyles. Anything that allows a person to step away from God’s Light is sin.
“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1 John 1:5-7 (KJV)
I pray the mercy of God over blind people, which function with a different sense of direction. But what about people who voluntarily choose to walk in darkness?
Regardless of how man tries he can not satisfy his flesh. The flesh feeds off darkness.
The body uses flesh as an outward covering. Although it has feelings and can be touched — flesh can’t survive or operate without spirit.
“Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of The LORD. Thus saith The LORD GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: and I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am The LORD.” Ezekiel 37:4-6 KJV.
Genesis 37, presents itself with a story of Joseph the youngest son of Jacob. The father favored Joseph because he was born in his old age. The other brothers hated Joseph.
As Joseph grew and began to share his dreams of leadership with his family, they hated him more. Darkness caused Joseph’s older brothers to try murder and sale him into slavery.
“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” 1 John 2:16 KJV.
“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16 KJV.
Joseph was living in the light of God’s will. Yet, he was condemned because he followed light rather than darkness.
“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” John 3:17-21 KJV.
God gave all of Himself in Jesus as assurance that we should continue to be like Him.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” 1 John 2:16 KJV.
Sin interrupted and put a temporary hold on life. But, it did not hinder God’s eternal plan for mankind.
Jesus came. He offered God’s invitation to eternal and abundant life.
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 KJV.
Thousands of people are chasing prophetic words all around the globe.
Many want to know what God is saying in this hour.
Why do people chase Prophets?
Does the profit come in knowing what God is saying — or doing what He is saying?
“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:26 KJV.
The world has been invited into the presence of The LORD.
John 3:16, is asking the world to RSVP to God’s invitation of Eternal Life.
No man knows the day or hour when The LORD shall come. Make sure to respond to the invitation before it is too late!
“And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; when his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: so likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” Matthew 24:30-36 KJV.
“The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, and sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: and the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.
But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: and he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen.” Matthew 22:2-14 KJV.

Mary Adger is in ministry for The LORD and runs her own website “In it for Him”, for when God says “BE STILL” He is just trying to get us to that perfect place in His will.
Thank you Mary. I pray that God will soften those hardened hearts to a heart of flesh, especially those who carried such hurtful emotions for years and years, that they will come to know Him and the Power of His Resurrection.
Blessings to you dear Mary.
Jennifer,
The Lord is calling His people to put up or shut up! We can not afford to stand behind pulpits and think that is the only arena for truth.
People are dying in sin never having known Jesus while His servants are looking for “Likes and subscribers”.
I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. John 9:4 (KJV)
God will never ask what we did to glorify His name, He will just show us pictures.
Truer words have never been taught or spoken, my sister. It’s the Word of God you speak from! Thank you Mary for sharing.
Joyce,
My Lord and My God. The Father is taking us back to Elementary School for the basics.
The enemy has an army of darkness. The Lord is calling His people to step up to the light and be seen. When the enemy sees the “Light” of the Lord, he will scatter seven different ways.
