Judging The Prophetic Word! — 16 Comments

    • Dear Jennifer,

Thank you so much for your kind remarks.

I pray God‘s blessings over your life, in Jesus name!

      Blessings,

      Patricia

  1. Thank you woman of GoD…yes, the mixture is part of the strategy of darkness. If i may add, part of judging a prophetic word, is to try the spirit. As we know, part of rightly dividing the Word of truth, includes trying the spirit behind the truth. I’m not sure we’re seeing that at most in The Church.

1John 4:1-5 We recognize a prophetic word can be true, yet given behind a “wrong” spirit that makes it false. This is why particularly our love walk is so important, in fruit of spirit. Because the Spirit searches all things 1Cor. 2:10 even in deep things of GoD. What are the deep things…? So, for the new believers 1 Cor. 2:10 w/inductive Bible study is about temptations of sin and how God makes a way for us to escape. As we go deeper in same text, we see how no one knows the thoughts of GoD, except the Spirit of GoD – why? bc it’s the Spirit/GoD searches out the matter. The unction of God’s Spirit shows us ‘all’ things the Bible says.

This is why the enemy fights spiritual gift/s Church. We must recognize and use all the gift/s GoD gives – In Spirit and in Truth.  Amen.

    • Dear mwilliams,
Yes, we truly need to test and try every spirit. We do need to discern the spirit behind the word. Is it God, is it the flesh, or is it the devil?
Now to confuse the issue more, we have AI and so we really need to be prayerful about everything we see online. We are to judge the prophetic word and weigh what we are hearing and sensing in our spirit by the Word of God as the Spirit and Word always agree and a Rhema Word will never be contrary to the Word of God. Good comments, sister.

      Blessings, Patricia

    • Dear Wei MN,

Yes, there are so many prophecies posted online. I am always so blessed when a prophetic word jumps out and says that’s for you, receive it. A true prophetic word can change our hearts and lives.
There are times I look back and a word comes to mind with a scripScripture in it that I received 30 years ago and the Lord will again bring that Word to my mind. Thanks for your comments. Blessings, Patricia.

    • Hi Janice,

It’s my heart’s desire that people‘s lives are touched by the prophetic words and teaching,The LORD gives to me. I am thankful that you were blessed as I am also blessed by your response.

    • Hi Pamie,

Your comments are a blessing. We all need reminders! Smile.

We serve God who is faithful! Blessings, Patricia

  2. As we have been advised in the past and again recently, when a Word is released, there needs to be time for that Word to breathe and manifest in the natural.  Sometimes the prophecy takes time to come to pass, which is sometimes a long time. Blessings to you Patricia for your obedience to our Lord.

    • Dear Jay,

Yes, the prophetic timing of a Word can vary. I have seen an elderly couple receive a bona fide word from a prophet years ago and within two weeks that prophetic word was coming to pass. God‘s timing is perfect and we often must wage war with that prophetic word. Appreciate your comments. Then there are those prophecies that we are still waiting to see manifest in the natural. Thanks for the comments. Blessings to you..

  3. Absolutely good for us all to read again and digest all that is here. Thank you Patricia Hamel. Blessings my sister. ❤️
