Living in Desperate Times — 9 Comments

  1. Even though, none of us like what has come upon us, I’m starting to realise that it was necessary. Unexpected circumstances developed in some of our lives where we could no longer be distracted by all that was around us; we remained still. We saw ourselves for who we truly were and just how grounded in faith we were in God. For some of us, that came as a bit of a shock. Some are still recovering from the effects of the last month or so. Yet, even knowing that the crushing has been difficult on some or many of us, there is hope generated in all of it. Our hope is ub Christ Jesus and that has become a reality that is more genuine than ever before. Even in our brokenness, we are learning to love ourselves and to really understand that Jesus Christ loves us so very much and wants the very best for us. It’s been an awakening and a sifting of all that was not necessary in our life including some of our mindsets. Until yesterday, I wondered why all of this had come upon me. And, now, that my strength and health is returning, I’m grateful for what I went through. I am drawn all that much closer to Jesus and see Him through much clearer lenses. He is so very beautiful! All that He does is to draw us closer to Him because He is Love and in Him is Light and Truth. My Beloved Bridegroom, how I love You. Please draw them all into Your Kingdom!

  2. The church is comfortable and doesn’t want to repent and change. It’s in a weaken and sinful state. A change will be forced by God very soon!

  3. Hello Chris
The church will never die because Jesus said He would build His church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it .
And also He is coming back for a church without spot or wrinkle.  He knows how to discipline His children and how to wake His children up
    Respectfully submitted

    • Hi Maureen,
I agree that the Church will never die but individual churches will die. There is no life in them now, so they will either be revived and live, or they will fade away, die, completely.

  4. I have been trying to understand this kind of word for some time. I know there’s a gigantic difference between the sleeping church and those who are alive in Christ. I am a son of God my Father through Jesus.  I see in the bible that everything Jesus did came through rest. I can’t get myself to desperate and I do look to the Father on how to pray. I don’t find either the Son or the Father in anything but rest. How can I be desperate when they’re at rest?
I am being very honest when I ask this question. I would really like your thoughts on this.

Come to Me, and I Will Give You Rest
25At that time Jesus declared, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; 26yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. 27All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. 28Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

[ HKP : Google Translate : “I love you Jesus, and in order to renew my spirit, I need the Holy Spirit to fill me, teach me to renew me, and lift me up into the necklace of Jesus’ mind and His heart! Now the king who comes again is a glorious and majestic king! Therefore, the Spirit of the living God has come upon me again, the Spirit of the living God, Come back upon me. Break me, melt me, shape me, fill me. The Spirit of the living God has come upon me again so that I may see you with my own eyes. The sacrifice that gives my life is a living sacrifice, and may you be pleased, and I pour out myself to give it to you, because I love you. Ask the Holy Spirit to give me the strength to fulfill your God’s desire!” ]
