It’s NOT just the world that’s on a War Footing today!

The LORD is calling His Church to a War Footing too — particularly His Worshippers and His Intercessors.

This image just resonated with me today. Not because it’s the Salvation Army Newspaper, but because it sums up where we, The Church, needs to be — on a War Footing.

We are at war with everything the world stands for right now.

Corruption in politics and business, false teaching in schools, drugs and other addictions, laws which are morally wrong, cruelty to and abuse of children, and so on — the list is long.

God is calling the intercessors and the worshippers.

Biblically, the worshippers led the warring armies into battle. They marched, that sang, they blew their trumpets!

All the while the intercessors prayed and warred in the heavenlies for The LORD to intervene on their behalf.

God honoured the Prayers. He honoured the Worship.

We then need emulate those who have gone before us.

We also need to be on our knees daily interceding for righteousness to reign, for god-fearing lawmakers and those in authority, for a return of decent moral standards.

Politicians and national leaders an do only so much, but praise, worship, and prayer can do so much more.

“The fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much!” James 5:16.

No matter how dire our situation may seem, the prayers of the righteous still avail much – much more than we’ve ever realised!

The Bible tells us that the battle is already won — we need to enforce it!

This post is too short to tell all that’s on my heart this morning, but the message is this — get ready to war for all that is God-given and good, and against the present evils in this world.

The war is both in the heavenlies, and right there, where you live today.

The LORD is waiting to hear from us!

Let’s all spend a few minutes daily fighting for our own, our children’s, and grandchildren’s future.

Pray for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
