No one I know enjoys cleaning out the refrigerator.

Depending on how long it has been since you last did this, and how full the refrigerator is now, this could be a job and a half — and who knows what’s in those containers?

Maybe it’s not even recognizable by now, growing all kinds of fungus.

Well, I know you didn’t come to read about this subject in particular, BUT, if you will look at your life from time to time with the same fervor, to see what’s really buried in your heart, perhaps a purging and purifying are in order.

Sooner or later, and most of us wait too long, your life becomes so full and busy that you hadn’t noticed that you forgot to pray or spend time with God, and now the day is over.

And, you have been dealing with a difficult person at work or in your family and you don’t know how to deal with all the emotions that are surfacing, so you stuff it down and don’t deal with it.

Wrong! Don’t Do That!

“Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled,” Hebrews 12:15 KJV.

Look at the first two words of this verse, “Looking diligently“…….

This is gong to take some concentrated effort.

We have to keep our hearts in check.

You are the Bishop of your own heart and soul. A Bishop is an overseer of several Churches and he is responsible for taking care of them and helping them with the challenges they face.

This is your job to do in your life. Overseeing what’s going on in your heart. Whatever you allow into your heart is what will come out.

Hebrews 12 says to pursue peace with all men, and holiness…..

^“Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see The LORD:” Hebrews 12:14.

Roots of weeds can be almost impossible to pull out of the ground sometimes, but with the help of The Holy Spirit all things are possible.

Don’t let anything or anyone prevent you from entering the rest of God. Life is too short!

It’s time to clean out the muck and clean up your heart. He’s ready and willing to help you do this.

It’s time to purge out that old leaven and get on with living!
