A psalm to praise and sing to GOD, out loud.
Put Your Trust In Him!
You, O LORD, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the One who lifts my head.
I was crying out to the LORD with my voice,
and He answered me from His Holy Mountain. Selah
I lay down and slept;
I awoke, for the LORD sustains me.
Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you;
therefore He will rise up to show you compassion.
For the LORD is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for Him!
People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem,
you will weep no more.
How gracious He will be when you cry for help!
As soon as He hears, He will answer you.
For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
the LORD bestows favor and honor;
no good thing does He withhold
from those whose walk is blameless.
LORD Almighty,
blessed is the one who trusts in You.
Shout for joy, you heavens;
rejoice, you earth;
burst into song, you mountains!
For the LORD comforts His people
and will have compassion on His afflicted ones.
But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me,
the LORD has forgotten me.”
“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Though she may forget,
I will not forget you!
See, I have engraved you on the palms of My Hands;
your walls are ever before Me.”
And what of those who are still lost?
Oh, the lost are ever on His Heart and Mind!
….Say to the captives, ‘Come out,’
and to those in darkness, ‘Be free!’
“They will feed beside the roads
and find pasture on every barren hill.
They will neither hunger nor thirst,
nor will the desert heat or the sun beat down on them.
He who has compassion on them will guide them
and lead them beside springs of water.
For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
the LORD bestows favor and honor;
no good thing does He withhold
from those whose walk is blameless.
LORD Almighty,
blessed is the one who trusts in You.
Gracious is the LORD and righteous;
our God is merciful.
The LORD protects the simple;
when I was brought low, He saved me.
Return, O my soul, to your rest,
for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.
“In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances, to say to the captives, ‘Come out,’ and to those in darkness, ‘Be free!’
“They will feed beside the roads and find pasture on every barren hill. They will neither hunger nor thirst, nor will the desert heat or the sun beat down on them. He who has compassion on them will guide them and lead them beside springs of water.” Isaiah 49:8-10.
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.” Psalm 84:11-12 NIV.
“Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him! People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you.” Isaiah 30:18-19 NIV.
“Gracious is the Lord and righteous; our God is merciful. The Lord protects the simple; when I was brought low, he saved me. Return, O my soul, to your rest, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.” Psalm 116:5-7 NRSV.
“Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.” Psalm 37:3-6.
