The other night I had a dream that I was about to eat a raisin cookie. Before I bit into it one of the raisins fell out on to the table and came to life. It began to grow into what looked like a worm and began crawling. It continued to grow until it was a small snake. I threw the snake out the door but it got back in the house and continued to grow. It then wrapped itself around my ankle and I pulled it off and threw it down. I climbed up a latter to get away from it, and then I woke up.

This dream doesn’t need much interpretation because it speaks for itself. The Lord brought me to the scripture in Acts 28: 3-5 when the snake attached itself to Paul and he was not harmed but shook it off into the fire. This is what the Lord is showing me. Some of you have things in your lives that needs to be shaken off before they become a stronghold. The enemy is trying to bring some of you back to things that you were delivered from. Whatever it is that the enemy is using to try to attach himself to you, you must shake it off and destroy it. The viper comes with the intention to inject its venom into its victim or squeeze the life out of it.

The Lord says, I have set you free with a purpose and a plan. Do not fall back into the trap that the enemy is trying to set up to lure you back into things that you have been set free from. Don’t go back to that thing that once tried to take your life. Recognize your adversary and don’t allow the enemy to have a foothold. Stay focused on the calling that I have for you. Continue in the the direction that I am taking you in. Just as you have begun a good race, get back on the narrow path that I have for you. Yes there will be tests and trials along the way and the enemy will try to come to steal, kill and destroy but you must learn how to endure and overcome every battle.

I have given you all the authority that is needed and the full armor to walk in. I have given you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you but you must resist the enemy. Shake off the serpent as he tries to fasten himself upon you. Stand firm in what you know to be true. Rise above your circumstances. Resist every temptation and rise above the tactics of the powers of darkness. Come up to a higher level that is not accessible to the enemy. Put to death those things that would open the door to him or have any entrance into your life. Do not yield to the voice of the serpent but submit your members to Me, walk in holiness and yield unto righteousness. I have given you the ability to be an overcomer. Stand your ground and resist the devil and he will flee says the Lord.

Luke 10:19
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Acts 28: 3 -5
But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand. So when the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet justice does not allow to live.” But he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm.

James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

1 Peter 5:8
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
