Just what can you believe God for?

Has doubt crept in?

“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Matthew 17:20.

Maybe it is just to believe for a new car or worldly possessions?

Then we might be found guilty of trying to abuse the true meaning of the prosperity gospel?

Many say it this way, many say it that way.

Still the truth is to be found in the middle, I believe!

We may really need a car or things in our daily life.

It is alright to ask our kind and gracious Heavenly Father!

A song that I hope will be a blessing to you here.

It has always been a special song to me. It was the very first solo I ever did in church when I was young.

Getting back here, we just don’t need to let ‘possessions’ be our main focus!

We must believe God surely wants us to prosper, as our soul prospers.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” 3 John 2.

Still if our goal is to only gain possessions and get rich, we have surely missed the mark!

We need be looking and examining our heart motives in all things.

Here are some more scriptures to share today.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith The LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11.

“The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children.” Psalm 115:14.

“From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” James 4:1-4.

“Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” Matthew 6:25-34.
