Spiritual Gameplay: Why Our Spirit Is Powerful — Yet Still Needs the Holy Spirit

Humans are made up of three things: Body, Soul, and Spirit.

“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ”, 1 Thessalonians 5:23.

• The body is physical and it is the part we can see.
• The soul is our mind, will, and emotions.
• And the spirit is the inner, spiritual part of us.

To say it another way: we are a spirit, we have a soul, and we live in a body.

The human spirit is holy, blameless, righteous, and has the mind of Christ.

It is amazing. Jesus restored our spirit and our spirit is really impressive. But our soul lags behind and that is why we need to renew our mind.

But let’s focus back on the human spirit and what Jesus says about it. Because the more we know who we are, the better we can operate as spiritual beings in a physical body.

Jesus says: “Your spirit is intelligent but it doesn’t know everything.

This is why you always default to Me.

I will tell you The Truth. I will guide you. I will help you.

Your spirit is born again and it is the real you — the real you in the Spiritual Realm.

Your spirit agrees with Me, but your soul does not.

This is why you must listen to Me. Your spirit still needs guidance although you are connected Me with.

There are some limitations in your spirit — such as, your spirit does not know everything, but it does know a lot.

Therefore, you must listen to Me.

Your spirit cannot guide you, but it can help you.

You are wise in the spiritual realm. You know a lot.

You are powerful and bold in the spiritual realm, but again there are limitations because you are not God.

Therefore, be proud of who you are in the spiritual realm for I AM well pleased with you.

Your spirit makes Me happy!”

I want to focus on this point that Jesus said: “Your spirit is intelligent but there are some limitations.”

Jesus then gave me more insight on this and used video games as an example.

When you play sports games, such as basketball, you can create your own player. You can make your player’s speed and agility level 99 — which means they will move very quickly and way faster than the other players who around level 88.

You can also make your play with strength at level 99.

You can make other attributes 99 as well in order to make your player the best on the court. 99 is as good as you can get since 100 is not available.

Jesus explained that our spirit is at 99, while the Holy Spirit is at 100. He has no limitations and He is perfect in every way.

Again, 99 is terrific, but it’s not quite “God level”.

Therefore, we must be proud and excited that our spirits are redeemed “and at level 99”, while continuing to submit to God who is perfect in knowledge and in every area.
