The Presence of God
I have written many times about personal holiness and God’s Presence, but I have been searching for an expression of what I felt in my heart and in my spirit.
I found it in a long post I read today. In her Word, “Vision of the Rain of Fire”, Susan O’Marra in 2009 wrote,
“By this I mean that there was such a Holiness and a terrible Presence of the Father in them and on them, that you knew that God the Father walked in them, and that He was now walking through them in a manner that we have yet to experience in any generation yet.” — Susan O’Marr
This speaks of a holiness and reverential fear of The LORD that very few, if any, have ever even experienced, let alone walked in.
I cannot say that the whole of the original prophecy is coming to pass this coming season, but it is my total belief that there will be those who will walk in such holiness that they will carry a very real presence of God with them.
This presence, “terrible presence” in the sense of Hebrews 10:31, (it is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God), will strike real and tangible fear into those who do not know Him.
I believe that, as happened to Wigglesworth, people will say of some of us, “Your presence convicts me!”
I believe that, as in days past, people will cry out for mercy, they will run weeping to repent at the altars, they will be overcome by the Spirit as they receive salvation.
But further than this, I believe that some will be baptised in The Holy Spirit without even knowing what’s happening.
Some will begin to heal and prophesy immediately.
I even believe that, as reported in some early Salvationists meetings, people will once again be lifted up, carried to the front, and dropped on the Altar!
The LORD has promised to do a new thing in this season and I believe the new thing will astound many and cause many more to come running to meet The LORD.
This presence, this “terrible presence,” and this new, deep holiness will cause friction in The Church.
There will be a demonic dividing of ‘haves and have nots’ — jealousy of those so anointed and feelings of inadequacy in those passed by.
Pray for Wisdom for leaders to handle this — for their flock and for themselves, as not all will receive the mantle or anointing.
I am acutely aware that some of this confirms previous prophecy, but I can only write that which I see, feel, and hear from The LORD.
This coming Season of both Holiness and Presence will separate wheat from chaff.
Do not allow disappointment to cloud your judgement.
Rather, rejoice that others have the greater responsibility to carry this mantle while “all” you have to do is support and pray.
Certainly, pray for the anointing to carry, and the character to bear the weight of this anointing.
“But Samuel replied: “Does The LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying The LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.” 1 Samuel 15:22.
Come, LORD Jesus, come have your way among us. Loose your mighty Holy Spirit to lead us, inspire us, and demonstrate your power through us.
Amen and Amen!
