The Ways of Life
“You have made known to me the ways of life; You will fill me [infusing my soul] with joy with Your presence.” Acts 2:28 AMP.
Dear Ones:
The Ways of Life!
This verse is from Peter’s sermon given to the crowd on the first Pentecost. He is quoting David from Psalm 16:11 where David declared that only God could show him His ways.
If we follow His ways, then our souls will be infused with His joy and presence. This sounds wonderfully refreshing in these chaotic times.
But the catch here is that this is not an automatic occurrence once we receive Christ as LORD of our lives.
It is a daily choice to be made to follow the ways of life laid out by God.
If we trust that His ways will lead us to a prosperous life, then it makes sense to follow them. Jeremiah believed this to be true even in very hard times.
Jeremiah 29 confirms,
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen.” Jeremiah 29:11-12 NLT.
He has laid out unique plans for everyone’s life!
There is no cookie-cutter plan that kicks in when you become a born-again believer in Christ.
That is why the verse says “ways” instead of one way.
Christ is the only way of Salvation, but your individual path as a believer is designed as a unique expression of His life manifested through you.
Declare:
“Thank You LORD, for making known to me the ways of life for myself, my family, and my nation.
Like Jeremiah, I trust the goodness of Your Plans and know that you hear me when I pray.
I choose to follow the path You have mapped out for me.
Help me as You journey with me every day. Praise The LORD!”
Have a blessed day in Jesus’ Name!
“You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11
