  1. Dear Arnold,
May I ask, who are you to speak ill of the dead? Since when were you appointed sole arbiter of truth? I’m sorry to put it so bluntly, but the only thing I said about Bob Jones was his prophecy about the Kansas Chiefs winning Super Bowl and revival. Did they not win ? Is not revival breaking out? He had his flaws – as both you and I do – but he was regarded as a prophet by millions – including many regarded ans senior prophets today.  Are you saying they’re all wrong? Are you calling all of them false prophets? Be very careful my friend. Be like Gamaliel in the bible – leave them alone lest you find yourself opposing God!

        • Dear Chris, I believe that Arnold below is referring to the Bob Jones that you speak of, who is known to have used ‘prophecy’ to prey on women sexually.  News article here -> https://www.newspapers.com/article/olathe-news-bob-jones-sexual-misconduct/118669774/

This does not mean he did not have a prophetic gift, but it also does not mean that he got his information from the Holy Spirit or that his motive was ever to glorify God.  God alone knows.  I think it is reasonable for people to question the validity of Bob Jones’s and Paul Cain’s prophetic gift, as they both are known to have conducted themselves as unregenerate men.

Finally, nowhere in the Bible does it say not to speak ill of the dead.  And if the ill spoken of is true, well, it is what it is.

God bless you.  I pray you have a fruitful week ahead.
