We Do Not See Things As They Are — We See Things As We Are

The heart is my daily focus.
I am reminded today that the heart is the determining factor whether or not we enter the Kingdom of God.
When we ask Jesus into our heart, it is our blessed assurance of Salvation as we know.
That bold statement is based on the scripture found in Jeremiah 17,
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; Who can know it? I, The LORD, search the heart, test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.” Jeremiah 17:9-10.
“We do not see things as they are, we see them as we are,” is the explanation of a quoted by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
His quote is: “A man sees in the world what he carries in his heart.”
As I researched more, Goethe and others have said we become what we think about.
On this subject, I leave you with this quote from Henri Bergson (1859-1941) : “The eye sees only what the mind is prepared to comprehend.”
These words have led me to go down memory lane with The LORD as He opened up “my story” to me in a new way.
We all have a story, and I have learned He leads us in the way we will most easily follow as HE PREPARES US and equips us with wisdom, truth, and understanding to fight the good fight of Faith.
As The LORD spoke to me about guarding my heart, He took me to the scripture in Proverbs,
“Guard your heart with all diligence, because out of it flows all the issues of life,” Proverbs 4:23Proverbs 4:23
“As a man thinketh in His heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7.
Or, as it has often been said, “We become what we think about” and last of all,
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints..” Ephesians 1:18.
As a prophetic intercessor, I have come to the understanding that all intercessors are not prophets, but all prophets are intercessors.
As The LORD opened my eye to see and better understand what He was teaching me, I found myself struggling a bit to comprehend what I was hearing Him speak so clearly.
I am thankful and also amazed that often in the process of my understanding, He gives me a big picture but breaks it down into many pieces that connect.
As I think back, there have been many times when I questioned God with, “Lord, you want me to do WHAT? “
I recall when The LORD told me HE was calling me to be an intercessor for Donald Trump, again, I said WHAT? Isn’t he just a rich playboy?
The LORD said, “No, He is going to be the next President of the United States.”
Now, Beloved, I have shared some of this story before, but I say to you, please stop a moment and consider this:
We can pray God’s Word, Declare with Authority and must continue to do so — but the Prayer of Intercession requires “standing in the gap!”
Simply put “in the gap” is the distance between the ways things are and the way things should be.
The LORD is the Author and Finisher of our Faith. He is a God of order.
Everything He has created has order. Satan works to bring destruction and confusion as well as every evil work to break down God’s established structure of authority.
I love the scripture in Psalm 62 when David said,
“My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him”. Psalm 62:5.
Beloved ones, we will only experience intercession as a true and exciting adventure to the degree that we have learned to WAIT ON GOD.
HE also told His disciples twice to WATCH and PRAY. (Mark 13:33, 14:38.
Intercessors are truly Watchmen. I have thought about that experience many times as I have heard so many who once prayed for President Trump, but now have turned on him as He is facing battles such as no other president I recall ever facing.
Our world is in such a state of control and fear.
I have shared all of this that we might submit ourselves to The LORD in this hour of such turmoil and allow Him to search our hearts and cry out as David did,
“Search me, O God, an know my heart: try me and know my thoughts and see if there be any wicked way in me,” Psalm 139:23-24.
God also said to Jeremiah,
“I The LORD search the heart” Jeremiah 17:10.
In the Hebrew, this phrase is, “I penetrate; I examine deeply.”
The Scripture references the in the New Testament also in 1 Corinthians 2, It says,
“For the spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:10.
As I pondered these scriptures, The LORD said, “My Daughter, I AM perfecting your heart as you submit to me.
A perfect heart is a trusting heart.
Many of My People who once said they trusted Me, have given up and no longer trust Me due to the many complications of the evil wickedness in the world today.
Tell My People who have given up, that I AM worthy of trust and I have stepped in to order their steps in these end-times.
I always make a way of escape. My eternal purpose and plan shall be carried out in My Timing.
I AM drawing near to those who have a broken heart and those who have given up hope.
Remember, dear ones, I have put a sword in your hand to cut through the darkness for I AM shining a bright light in the darkness to rescue and recover all,” says The LORD.
Beloved, as winter arrives and we celebrate a Merry Christmas, may we pause as our help manifests and the big picture truly begins to unfold.
Know that our God is a God of order and He is ordering our steps as we “ONLY BELIEVE!”
