We Need to Slow Down & Listen What We Are Missing!
“For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not” Isaiah 30:15.
Till you see it, you just don’t see it period!
What am I talking about?
I am talking about the ‘rat race‘ we have often become a part of in life.
Good morning.
Am I guilty? Yes often times but I have to repent.
We can get caught up in too much multi tasking……
My quote to people often is: “I need to slow down as I can’t talk and chew gum at the same time.”
Maybe funny, but a little bit true, also for all of us?
Even if we get a lot of things done, are we doing the tasks well?
Maybe we are, but if we are going too fast something is not done in excellency!
Maybe we need to ask for an excellent spirit that was found in Daniel.
We are too tired often and too much in a hurry!
I have been with people many times instead of talking to you, they are talking to their smart watches…
Oops. I would probably be guilty of that also but I don’t own one…
Seriously though, I don’t desire any more devices to bind me.
Confession: Often I have had to apologize for having to text when with someone else.
It can just become rude manners and we need to all be careful.
Sure there are emergencies, but we have become attached too much to our devices.
Let’s take the time to be present in the moment.
When we are still we can hear what we are missing more from our Lord.
Also we can hear what our fellowman is even trying to tell us!
“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10.

Because of my deafness I use text but I don’t care for phone or text but so true what u said and I do my best not to get caught up in rat race. A time of quiet and stillness is great. Great word and true Sister
