What is Done to Be Seen by Men is Paid by Men
“Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.” Matthew 6:1-4.
I pondered up on this scripture today.
There is a religious spirit that Yeshua exposed that uses ‘giving’ as a stage, and in the passage of scripture in Matthew 6 the Messiah is saying “Take heed!” — meaning beware, watch yourself, guard your motives.
There is a warning about a hidden danger that can corrupt even righteous acts.
Alms-giving (charity, helping, giving) is good, but motive determines whether it is worship or self-exaltation.
When giving becomes a way to be admired, to be seen as spiritual, or as a way to control how others view us It stops being an offering to Yah and becomes an offering to the idol of human approval.
That is why He says “…otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.”
The act may look righteous outwardly, but Heaven does not recognize it as worship because the true recipient was man’s opinion, not God’s pleasure.
In this hour, there is a spirit of performative righteousness; Public Giving, Public Prayers, Public “Support” with Private Agendas…
But The Father is restoring The Secret Altar unto Him.
He is looking for those who will serve without needing to be seen.
Because those are the ones who can be trusted with true authority.
There is an invisible audit system in Heaven.
Yah does not measure the amount, the audience, the applause — He measures, the heart, the secrecy, the surrender.
When giving is done in secret, it becomes a conversation between your spirit and the Father.
That is worship…
What is done to be seen by men is paid by men.
What is done to be seen by God is rewarded by GOD.
You cannot collect from both realms.
Shalom
