What is The Truth?
When we are confronted with The Truth, we can either turn from it or embrace it.
It seems so obvious for us to embrace it. Because, after all, on paper, we know it to be true in our hearts, but our minds don’t accept or want to accept something we’ve believed to be otherwise.
Jesus spoke harsh Truth, and many of His followers turned from Him and went back to their old ways.
Those truly hungry for Truth, received His Eords, and pondered them, like Nicodemus. In John 6, the Word says,
“From that time, many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.” John 6:66.
Sometimes it is easier to believe a lie than face The Truth.
We want to debate with God, even when the facts are right in our face. The enemy will always want to alter the truth and whisper lies to deceive us. It started in the garden and continues to this day.
Many people hate Jews and Israel because of their race. Antisemitism has exploded, as many people believe lies.
Their hatred is fuelled by voices that spew out on social media, and others join in. It becomes a revolution.
What is Truth?
“What is Truth?” Pilate asked this question of Jesus when Jesus said, in John 18,
“You say that I AM a King, For this reason, I was born, and have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to The Truth listens to My Voice.” John 18:37-38.
Jesus prays to the Father in John 17,
”I have given them Your Word, and the world has hated them. For they are not of the world, just as I AM not of the world.” John 17:14.
And in John 17, Jesus prays,
“…sanctify them by The Truth. Your Word is Truth. For them, I sanctify Myself so that they too may be sanctified by The Truth.” John 17:17.
Jesus was saying, He is Truth, and His Words Sanctify those The Father gave Him to teach and train, so they could go out and be the truth, even if they and the truth are rejected.
Jesus said,
“Everyone who belongs to The Truth listens to My Voice,” John 18:37.
Those who don’t belong to Him, will hear His Voice and reject it.
Those who do belong to Him will hear the voice of The Holy Spirit and receive it.
Some people, who do belong to Him, have a mind block, a soul issue, that needs to be removed in order for the heart to receive Truth.
Our pride and rebelliousness are the downfall of man!
We must receive Christ in our heart, and let Him peel back layers of lies we have believed.
Christ in us, will shine the Light of Truth in us, and we truly can be born again.
We must not only receive Christ, but we must now listen to The Voice of Truth, change our ways, and live a life of Purity and Truth.
We become The Light, as we allow The Light of The Holy Spirit to invade and overtake our human flesh.
We truly become messengers of the truth who IS Christ Jesus, the Son of the living God.
Truth wins!
In John 17, Jesus said,
“And I have made Your name known to them, and will continue to make it known, so that the love You have for Me, may be in them and I in them.” John 17:26.
May God open our hearts and minds to the truth, no matter if it is in the Word or in the world.
In this time we are living in right now, truth is exposing the lie of the enemy, but many Christians are falling for the trap of deception.
We must have the Word as our foundation within us so we can compare everything that happens, to that solid rock — that Cornerstone — Who is Jesus Christ!
The Holy Spirit will witness inside of us what is Truth.
We will know how to discern truth from lies, because it doesn’t come from our mind of reasoning, but truly comes from our heart, where Christ dwells.
Open your hearts to The Truth, and let The Holy Spirit reveal Truth to you, and confirm His Word within you.
Amen!
Blessings,
